awkwardnoob replied to your post “Hello, I was wondering what your opinion is on how the fandom regards...”
It someone holds a gun to your head and says they'll kill you unless you beat someone up, no one in their right mind would call you evil if you beat that second person up. Clones are the same.
Ah, see, to me, this analogy is a little different with Hordak and the other clones, and I think it is this difference that causes people to wish harm upon them.
In the scenario you describe, it can generally be assumed that the person being threatened doesn’t actually want to beat someone up. They are being forced. When assessing Hordak and his brothers, however, it can likely be safely assumed that they would want to perform the beating. And that difference is what makes people angry with them.
However! In my mind, this still isn’t quite accurate, because their desire is not born out of innate lust for violence or dominance, but out of a misguided understanding of what is good and appropriate in the world. Prime tells them a thing is good, and they believe that, because he is their actual god, and their world is entirely shaped by him.
Now, the concept of the “gun” comes into play should a clone attempt to deviate from this understanding. And at that point, I agree with you completely: they are unable to because of the level of control Prime has over them.
So essentially: they may want to cause harm, but it is not for the sinister reason that people might imagine. And they are unable to decline to do harm, whether they want to or not, because the control they are under makes what they want meaningless.
I imagine that people who call the clones, and Hordak, evil don’t quite reach an understanding of these concepts. Or, perhaps, they don’t care; though I’m not sure why one wouldn’t. It’s a terrible thing, after all.
awkwardnoob replied to your post: spy x family prediction:[[MOR] yuri’s gonna pass...
or anya wakes up and we get him freaking out over new cute niece
that can wait until morning! Anya needs her rest she’s so little.
I’m gonna answer these like this because my replies don’t work properly, but this isn’t a call-out just wanna discuss it. I understand people do change, but we haven’t really gotten to see it. I want the show to show more of his change. It’s not the same when people say they’re gonna change and don’t, so showing it would definitely make me like him more. I completely understand why you brought him up though, and my main concern was with the diamonds since their case is so extreme. @awkwardnoob @saltygempearl (Also don’t harass them or anything, just wanna be able to properly reply to people :D)

So, the next Splatfest has been announced to be...
I tend to eat mayo on most things now-a-days, so I’ll be team Mayo. Everyone is excited about white ink, but given the yellow background, it’ll probably be yellow
yeah... that does seem like it’s going to be the case. I’ll be sad if it is, though. Japan had it, why can’t we?
awkwardnoob replied to your photo “@samven yeah, it’s like there are two Camillas in the game: the comedy...”
Young Teens can change style a lot from then to adulthood.
See, I could accept that as an argument except for a few things.
First and arguably most importantly, Camilla wasn’t an average young teen growing up in the suburbs. She was the child of a cutthroat concubine in a court where sexuality couldn’t not have been a weapon. She trained to kill from a young age. We know for a fact that as an adult, she has a deeply fucked up concept of love. Given those facts, would you really say that it’s pure, random coincidence that she would adopt a sultry mode of dress?
I couldn’t tell you if it’s because she believes it’s how women are supposed to be or if she does it to flaunt her strength or if she does it to challenge anyone who would call her the daughter of a whore; the exact whys are a mystery. All I’m saying is that I think, given her circumstances, it’s suggestive of some kind of development that she adopts such a sexualized mode of dress as an adult.
awkwardnoob replied to your photo: This four-eyed mofo is called, in-game, Satori....
Leave it in a village
...I can do that. I can totes do that.
Fuck yes, Satori, you get to stay in my house next to the ice sword. Interior Decoration pro.
@awkwardnoob I’m sure this is an unintentional typo, but I DO feel like goo, sooo… guuuuuuuuhhhh…

Hope your day is good!
