#tbt Variant Sole group exhibition!? #2013!! LMAO Oh man that's corny AF. What was I thinking? Haha and the corny quote to boot too. One of the first shows I put on by myself after my first OG art bar show. I met the master airbrush artist @damonrowley that night at that art bar show too. Lisa Gloria and I think another cat Leif or Levi Rodgers curated it. It was a hella dope show. The small group of artists I was among were talented and pretty chill. My work @ that time was more concept than skill. Albeit that was the first art show I had done in years. I wasn't even doing much art at the time. I never stopped making art but I wasn't pursuing it. Babies and marriage does that sometimes. After the art bar show I immediately realized I'd rather put on my own shows. You have more freedom and range controlling your own thing. So I put together a group of talented and various art critters and dropped my own show @ the homie Woj's pub in St. Charles, il It went well. We sold some #art and had fun. I put on a few other shows at the House Pub afterwards. My fav was the #awkwardrebelshow Which was the first time I met and showed art with my sister @art_by_betty_heredia !! Dig this. I met B on Instagram. I was bugging out on her work. She had this stream of consciousness style of art that reminded me of a #improvised #jazz vocalist. Mind blown! In talking to her online and seeing her work plus exchanging mail art. I told @dioramascapes ,"we need to do a show and we gotta get #bettyheredia in a group show. She is a long lost soul sister!!" Lol I put 2gether Awkward rebel show. Invited @art_by_betty_heredia out. It was a GREAT show w/ real dope art BUT we didn't have a big turn out. Factors man, external factors like Mayweather/ Pacquiao fight, Kentucky Derby, and NBA finals or some shit. Haha Fools wasn't giving up their sports for the humanities. #supportlocalartists LMAO Regardless,we put on a dope show nuff said. And guess what? Afterwards @dioramascapes was like, "Man, Betty is our long lost soul sister!!" 😂 My wife knowsI'm a seer. Been here 429 lifetimes. Believe!
