Prompt 1: Mistletoe Kiss
While a simply guy at heart, Jonouchi loved corporate events.
He loved wearing a suit, he loved the fancy food and he loved speaking with people who respected him as a duellist.
He especially loved seeing his partner in these situations. Tall, commanding and sexy as sin.
Seto Kaiba was the main reason why Jonouchi loved these corporate events.
Well, for the first two hours anyway.
Once 10p.m hit, Jonouchi noticed his suit was getting uncomfortably hot and itchy. The food was gone, and the conversations were getting more and more dull.
He was tired of being asked the same questions several times over by men who only wanted to know if he was worth their investment.
He knew Kaiba would be feeling the same.
He looked around for his partner, finding him speaking with an older gentleman, seemingly deep in conversation.
Jonouchi smirked to himself.
To the average person, Kaiba looked completely stoic and professional, but Jonouchi knew better.
The slight upturn of his lips in a forced polite smile, the slight clenching fingers around the crystal glass in his hand and the uncomfortably straight posture all proved to Jonouchi that his partner was becoming as uninterested in this event as he was.
As the evening continued, more and more of the fancy alcohol was consumed.
Straight laced businessmen became clumsy and giddy, joking amongst each other and laughing boisterously.
Jonouchi had kept himself busy, finding some old duelling competitors to speak with as the volume in the room increased.
He had kept an eye on Seto though.
Watching him as he became more twitchy and bored.
When he saw that Seto was finally alone, he moved.
Making his way through the crowd, he joined Kaiba and quickly shuffled them both out of the event hall and past the lobby of the hotel where the event was held.
“Katsuya, what are you doing?” Kaiba asked, obliging his lover by following him.
“Gimme a minute.” The blond replied, finally stopping in an empty hallway.
He shuffled around in his suit pockets, grinning when he found what he was looking for.
He pulled out the rumpled flower from his pocked and grinned more when he saw Seto’s response.
“Why do you have mistletoe in your pocket?” The brunet asked.
“It’s a Christmas party, there’s always mistletoe!”
“It’s not a Christmas party, we don’t celebrate Christmas, it’s a festive gathering.”
Jonouchi smirked playfully, “There’s still mistletoe though.”
Seto sighed.
“You know the tradition.” The blond prompted, reaching the mistletoe above their heads.
Kaiba looked at his lover and smiled.
“I guess I cannot argue with tradition.”
His right hand curled around the back of the blonde’s neck, pulling him in and tilting his head slightly so that his lips could meet his partners.
The kiss was soft and brief, but when Kaiba pulled away, Jonouchi was smiling brightly.
“That should make your evening a bit better.” Katsuya grinned, giving a quick wink.
Seto smirked, briefly ruffling the blondes’ hair before he let go.
“Indeed.” He agreed.

Next: Pretend boyfriend/girlfriend for family Christmas party
Aim for the moon, because even if you fail, you’ll be amongst the stars.
Itachi never failed at anything.
The concept of failure had seemed utterly alien to him, until he met Hinata.
The first time he had met her, she was just after being born. His family had attended an elaborate ceremony to celebrate the first born of the Hyuuga clan head.
He had accompanied his father and a few other higher-ups from his own family.
He thought nothing of the young baby being paraded around, he had his own brother at home to fawn over.
However, as the years passed, his meetings with the young girl became more frequent and he realised there was so much more to her than simply being a future clan leader.
She was unexpectedly kind and gentle, for a kunoichi, but never weak.
She fought with as much determination and courage as he did.
But when it came to elegance, she surpassed him ten-fold.
Her technique was flawless, it was smooth, fast and utterly deadly to anyone who was on the receiving end.
His own brother had even come home covered in dark blue bruises one evening after a joined sparring match with team 8.
While Sasuke had won, Itachi did feel some gratitude towards the girl who had knocked his brother’s confidence down a peg or two.
However, whenever Itachi approached the girl she would blush, bow and make a quick apology before almost running away.
Itachi was at a loss.
He was well aware of his own reputation, he knew he was both adored and feared, his name was legendary, even amongst noble families such as the Hyuugas.
One night, on an evening stroll, Itachi had found her unexpectedly.
She was alone in an open forest area within the walls of the village, training.
As he watched her, he was awe struck.
She moved swiftly under the moonlight, her long hair flowing gracefully around her body, not interfering with her movements at all.
He could barely hear her as she moved, only his sharingan able to keep up with her striking hand movements.
She was glowing with beauty, and in that moment, Itachi failed to breath.
She had eventually noticed him, but before she could run off this time, he stopped her, gently calling her name.
He had offered to take her for tea, to relax after her training.
She politely declined, saying she was too ‘dirty’ to be seen with him.
But she countered his offer with one of her own.
Weekly tea house meetings eventually turned into dinners and dinners evolved into hand holding and soft kisses in private spaces.
Within months he knew he could never let her go.
When Summer arrived, they often met back in that forest where he had first approached her, having small picnics under the moonlight, the silence filled with soft words and warm laughter.
As he sat on the blanket, one hand gently placed over hers, he realised that in his search for the moon, he had bypassed the stars completely.
He had aimed for the moon and reached her, and now they sat staring up at the stars together.
It was a well-known fact that Itachi had a sweet tooth.
As a young man, he had tried so many different dishes and cooking styles over the years, but no matter where he travelled, or what food he had, he was always drawn to desserts and sweets.
This was one of the reasons why Itachi loved the holiday season.
It seemed every coffee shop now had four or five new how drinks available, most including a vast amount of syrup, cream and marshmallows.
In his first days of his next degree, Itachi had made it his new mission to find a coffee shop that had exactly what he needed.
He had just moved from his old university town to this new city and knew the importance of finding a good coffee shop.
It was on his third day of searching that Itachi found ‘The Lilac Café’.
He was on his way home from his registration in the university and had decided to take a different route, eager to get to know the city while he still had time.
He was walking down a fairly small lane way when the wonderful scent of vanilla spread through the air.
He had seen the small coffee shop two doors down and followed the scent inside.
It was a relatively small shop, hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the city, soft lilac walls and cream furnishings decorating the interior.
It wasn’t really Itachi’s scene. He liked the fact that it was quiet and remote, but the bright colours seemed to be slightly off-putting.
But since he had already arrived, he decided to order a coffee anyway.
“W-what may I get you?” the barista had asked him, her long hair tied loosely behind her, falling below the tie of her purple apron.
“What would you recommend?” he asked, smiling as her cheeks coloured slightly.
“Umm, we have several teas, if you would like to try? Or coffee?”
“Do you have anything sweet?”
“Oh, we have our ‘Seasonal Hot Chocolate’,” She started, seeming to perk up, “it’s made with a m-mixture of white and milk chocolate, some ginger and cinnamon and topped with fresh cream and marshmallows? We a-also have a selection of home-made cakes?”
“Would you recommend the hot-chocolate?”
“Of course!” She exclaimed, her smile widening, “It’s one of my favourite drinks this season!”
He smiled in return.
“I’ll take one cup of the hot chocolate then.”
“Of course, I can bring it over to you!”
He sat down at one of the empty tables by the window, watching as the world outside steadily grew darker.
When the barista came to his table, he smiled up towards her warmly.
“Would you mind if I asked your name?” he asked, slowly wrapping his fingers around the handle of the large mug.
“M-my name is Hinata.” She smiled and returned to the counter.
The hot chocolate itself was nothing special, but it was not bad in anyway.
Itachi took his time with his beverage, occasionally looking over to the indigo haired barista as she conversed with other customers or staff.
He paid his bill, thanked the young girl and left, enjoying how the taste of ginger seemed to remain lightly on his tongue.
He returned the next day and ordered the same, pleased that it was once again Hinata who was serving him.
He returned two days again after that and regularly once his semester had started.
He occasionally brought his friends who teased him for his frequenting of such a ‘feminine’ place. But he didn’t care, so long as he got to have a few words with the young woman behind the counter.
If anyone ever asked why Itachi spent so much time in that tiny coffee shop, he would simply say it was the ‘hot chocolate’.

Chap 1 / Chap 2 / Chap 3
For over a year now, Itachi and Sasuke had been living in harmony. They respected each other’s privacy and offered comfortable companionship to each other.
That harmony was now very close to ending.
“I stole Sasuke’s bed.”
“E-excuse me?”
“I stole my little brother’s bed.” He repeated.
“Ok,” she nodded, “but why?”
“Because Sasuke hates to share small spaces. I assumed that if he had a single bed, he would be less likely to have Naruto over all the time.”
Hinata’s confusion was evident.
“Why did you not want Naruto here?”
“I did not want Naruto here because any time he is here, he’s taking you away from me.”
“So, you stole your brother’s bed because you were jealous?” Hinata asked, tilting her head ever so slightly.
“I guess I did.” He replied, finally realising how ridiculous it sounded.
She smiled so brightly it stunned him
“You know,” she started, her hand reaching out to take his own, “you could have just told me that you wanted to spend more time with me.”
Itachi blinked.
He was a genius. He had always been told that. From his first A in kinder garden to his offer of a full PhD scholarship. Itachi Uchiha was a genius. But the way Hinata’s soft eyes looked at him now made him doubt that statement very much.
Seeing the shock spread over her boyfriend’s face, Hinata finally laughed.
Itachi just stared at her.
He loved that laugh. Even though he knew she was indeed laughing at him but he didn’t feel ashamed in anyway. Even though he knew he had been over reacting, he didn’t care once he heard that laugh.
“You know, I was afraid I was being too annoying,” she confessed after a minute, pushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear, “you never said anything when I was with Sasuke and Naruto, so I thought you maybe wanted some space.”
“Hinata,” he paused, his hand gently squeezing hers, “I will never want space from you. You bring me so much joy, just being around you could make the most miserable day worth living through.”
His free hand moved to gently cup her face.
“If anything, I am the one who is clingy. I want to be around you as often as you will have me. I want to take up all your time and never have you leave. Every minute I’m with you is a minute I cherish.”
She blushed a deep red at his words.
“When you first started to join my brother and his friends I just wanted to be near you, to know you. Now that I do know you, I want to know even more. I just want you all to myself.”
Hinata’s hand then reached up to cover the one resting on her face.
“I’m sorry, Itachi, if I had known I would have been here with you.” Her eyes lowered slightly, avoiding his. “I really like being with Naruto and the others, they’re all so wonderful. But I never meant to ignore you as a result.”
“Hinata, no. Don’t apologise over this. I should have said something earlier.”
He took a breath and leaned in, gently moving his hand from her face to behind her head, pushing their foreheads together.
“I’m not stupid,” he started, “I am intelligent, patient and accepting, but not with you. With you I become irrational, foolish and angry. I forget how to think like a rational human when I think about you. I forget how to be patient. When I think of you all I feel is love. I love you, Hinata, and I’m afraid I am becoming a fool because of it.”
She looked as though she would cry at any moment.
He was afraid he had scared her.
But then she looked at him in a way that he had only ever imagined she would.
“I,” she paused, taking a small breath, “I love you too Itachi.”
He tilted her head then, bringing his lips to meet hers.
Her arms instinctively wrapped around his neck, pulling his body to hers.
The kiss was soft and sweet. He savoured the feeling of her lips on his and the way her hands began to reach into his hair.
He slowly pulled away, smiling.
“Are you sure you want to love with a man who would steal his brother’s bed for no legitimate reason?”
She laughed, kissing him quickly on the lips again.
“I think I’ll manage.”
Before her could reclaim her lips, the door to Itachi’s room swung open.
The two pulled away, expecting to see a familiar blond-haired man, only instead of Naruto this time it was a very irritated, pissed off Sasuke.
“Where the fuck is my bed?”
Itachi looked from the girl beside him to the angry young man in his doorway,
He stood swiftly and walked over to the younger man, gently ushering him out the door.
Sasuke stood on the other side confusion and anger painting his face.
Itachi then lifted two fingers and poked them lightly into the other’s forehead.
“I’m sorry Sasuke.”
He shut the door then and locked it.
Hinata looked at him in confusion.
“I’ll text Kisame and he can bring it back. Right now, I’m not letting either of us out of this room. Your time is mine, Hinata Hyuga.”

Prompt 24: You keep playing Christmas music, and it’s driving me nuts, please play something else
If Seto heard the drab voice of Shane Macgowen croak out ‘it was Christmas Eve’ one more time, he would actually hit something.
He had a strict ‘no holiday music’ rule in his home and usually it was followed, however since a certain blond had moved in, many of Seto’s previous rules were ignored.
He dropped his pen and rubbed his temples, groaning as the lyrics of ‘Fairytale NewYork’ reached through his doors, the broken English of his lover accompanying it.
He stood and walked out of his home office, down the stairs and towards the source of the noise.
Walking into the living area, he noticed his partner lounging back on a chair, head rolled back, eyes closed and belting out the lyrics.
“Katsuya.” He interrupted, causing the other to open his eyes.
“Yes?” He blinked innocently.
“I said no Christmas music.”
“But it’s Christmas.”
“I don’t care.”
“It’s Christmas though.”
“Still don’t care.”
“Please?”
He may have used the term ‘mutt’ before as an insult but now it was based on truth. The truth that his boyfriend had the best ‘puppy dog eyes’ he had ever seen.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair.
“Does it have to be Christmas music all the time?”
“It’s. . .”
“Christmas, I know it’s Christmas.”
Jonouchi laughed loudly. Standing and lowering the stereo.
“Better he asked?”
The hum of the music could still be heard, but it was no longer blaring through the mansion.
“Thank you.” Seto smiled, enjoying the silence.
Jonouchi smiled, walking over to his partner, casually slipping his arms around the other’s shoulders.
“Dance with me?” he asked, smiling warmly up into Seto’s blue eyes.
Kaiba nodded wordlessly, instinctively wrapping his arms around the blonde’s waist in response.
Jonouchi rested against Kaiba’s warm, lean body, inhaling his scent and enjoying being wrapped in those strong arms.
“I love you.” He whispered, swaying lightly with the other man.
Seto hummed, gently kissing the other’s hair.
They swayed together for a while, moving in a slower time than the preppy music that was playing.
Maybe, Kaiba though, Christmas music wasn’t so bad.
