Romantic Edmond

While Edmund is strong, a little magical and absolutely handsome; the French Edmond feels very romantic. It makes me think of a fearless French prince from centuries ago, he fights for all the people in his kingdom, not just when riding into battle and his decisions and morals are always very noble.

As with Edouard, the French pronunciation would be difficult to wear in an English speaking country but as a middle name or with the English pronunciation as a variation of Edmund, it would make for a lovely choice.

Playful Eddie

Eddie, to me, still has a quite childish imagery, it does work well on adults, however, it’s usually the quirkier kind that can pull it off nicely. I don’t think “Eddie the investment banker” would work for me.

And while the E&W parents seem to appreciate it, using it more often as a full name, in the US, Eddie, as a full name, is declining.
