also why is everything so fucking GREEDY these days; i swear to god so many apps and shit just love to eat your resources now. games, general apps, fucking SITES (let alone browsers), your os,???

like just trying to look into apps using too much memory makes me feel like i'm going fucking crazy, cause i've seen so many people regurgitate the same "unused ram is wasted ram"- and yeah! unused ram is wasted ram, but people are usually implying free memory. and Friend, Buddy, Pal, i do not have a lot of that to spare, my modded minecraft save is already eating most of it.

games i can understand with memory at least, but holy shit you cannot fucking tell me that modern games should take up more than 30gb of space without good reason. i think helldivers 2 REALLY proved this when they moved from using over 130+gb of space to just 20gb. i swear it's just ceos going "yeeees...... they can only install OUR game and three OTHER games, they'll be FORCED to play our game and spend so much money on it"

honestly it feels weird that a lot of people ik still use twitter actively; like i've stopped posting to twitter, but i still have to use my twitter account to view my my friends' posts. i feel really out of the loop otherwise, so i Cannot free myself from the shackles of the now dead blue bird.

i think it's worse because from an nsfw perspective, there's not a ton of leeway. sure i COULD use bsky, but then i just run into the same problem where i still have to use twitter for people i know, anyways lol
