Sorry, I just have to vent. Went out with a group of the girls to celebrate 2 of our friends birthdays at a local sushi restaurant. The bill ended up being $67 a person plus tip to cover the 2 birthday dinners. 2 of the meals were accidentally switched by the waitress, which caused a scene, and when the meals were replaced, it appeared rney were just replated. One of the people (who ate half her meal before realizing it was the wrong one) ordered 6 $10 Martinis, which was split across the total bill. So, in addition to all the drama, my $17 meal and 2 martinis should have cost $37 plus tip and a portion of the 2 birthday girl dinners. I spent $75 on 2 gifts, plus $70 on dinner, that should have cost me $40-50 max. I'm at the point where I don't want to spend time with my "friends" because all it does is cause me stress. They are all trump supporters (need I say more?) and I'm so done with it all. I turn 50 in 2 months, and do not need all this stress and bullshit in my life. I'm more worried about finding the right college for my 16 year old daughter. So a word to all you young people. Prioritize. If people drain the joy from your life, they are toxic and you need to leave them the fuck alone. Do what brings you joy and fuck the rest. Life is too short. I'm so done with people right now. Rant over, I need another martini.
