Some very interesting aspects of the original PS3 "Kara", and the final PS4 "Kara" we played during dbh, that indicates that they're maybe similar in face, but not even the same "generation" *(as the RK900 is basically the face of the RK800, but they're quite different).
Looking at the making of video of the short film "Kara" you can see development blueprints for the Cyberlife assembly line that clearly state "AX 300" (and not "AX 400", as it's later referred during the short film and the game)...
Now, if you look at this "3rd generation models" you'll notice that their de-skinned android body is slightly different, so above all, they all seem to be manufactured in black short hair *(opposite to the Kara we play in-game, where the factory model is long brown hair).
...so, sadly, it's to be supposed that by the time the events of dbh take place, "this" 3rd gen "Karas" are obsolete and that's why Markus finds her in the junkyard...
...this also indicates that "deviancy" had to be an issue Elijah Kamski knew long time before even leaving Cyberlife management *(funny that in the interview, Kamski already was telling "they'll replace our soldiers, and our leaders", as if by the time of the video, when he was still actively involved in Cyberlife, he already knew what was going on... RK-models wise, I mean).
So, while it's a sad ending for this Karas on the short film, it actually leaves you thinking that not only "Connor" share his facial features, but it's possible that many other androids from different generations and models "had the same face" with slightly variations to distinguish them (like long or short hair, or different eye colors, although all this things can be changed afterwards by the android owner).
