Been wanting to do this pun since starting doing the bird puns, finally managed to get some decent swift photos when I was on holiday :) Being a Shade fan has rocketed my love for these birds even higher, I'm now happily exclaiming "Dickie!" whenever I see one (already loved them for their little screaming though)

it is world swift day! there are over 100 types of swifts but most often you can recognise them by their sickle or boomerang shapes and very recognisable call. they can sleep, eat, bathe, and mate while in flight, and are known to stay in the air for very long stretches of time.
