a few hours in, he had been already of walking around tables as if he had any actual interest in any of the clubs before he even started doing so. he should technically be helping out at the booths set up for the teams he was included in, however, he had prepared an excuse beforehand and just managed to avoid their tables at all costs. ( thankfully, since they were sports teams, they were in the same general area. )
thankfully he had spotted nayeon only a little while ago, and had pulled her to his side for some a serious conversation he wasn’t even sure he wanted to have. no, she wouldn’t cure him of the boredom he was currently facing, but he did have serious matters to talk about with only someone he trusts.
not that he doesn’t trust the other females in his life, but he thought this was something he could talk about with her without feeling ... more embarrassed than he needed to be.
“you can’t tell anyone about this, okay? i mean— i’m assuming it’s obvious to everyone already, but it’s not something i wanted to acknowledge...” he slapped an approaching hand away from one of the members of some club he didn’t care about, again pulling her away from them so they would take the hint: this is serious business! “i think... i might... like someone more than a friend? it might be too early to say i’m in love, which sounds repulsing now that i think about it, but if it’s not— i think i’m definitely in love, nayeon.”
