You’d think I’d post something normal, but IT WAS I... AXEBEAVER!

The most deadly and horrifying fictional (?) creature in Barovia. It’s been nearly a year since my original doofy drawing of it and since it keeps coming up in campaign I felt like doing it more justice~

I’m scared to make a stat block for it lest our DM actually make it real and TPK us for this horrible running joke~

THE MYTH. THE LEGEND.

In our Strahd campaign, my girl Adi is a noble who was raised in a town visited and driven mad by Nyarlathotep. As such, I’ve decided her -1 Int isn’t because she’s dumb exactly, but filled to the brim with absurdly inaccurate information, usually garbled together from multiple creatures from D&D or video games. When our group encountered 10ft wide tunnels burrowed next to a waterfall she naturally assumed it was the work of the dreaded AXEBEAVER!  Cue our DM making actual normal beavers appear (Clearly the adolescent Axebeaver). When we were instead attacked by large insects it was clear that they were the NATURAL PREDATORS OF THE AXEBEAVER and when we slew them we could not tarry for the beavers would soon move in to reclaim their territory!

Because I wouldn’t shut the hell up about it he threatened to make it a real thing. So here we be~ I regret nothing
