@axiousx liked for a starter Sometimes Raifer questioned why he ever bothered to listen to a human, the majority of them were ignorant, not many willing to listen, even if it were something that could save lives. Sadly the officials of the UNSC could be those very people that the Demon hated, but he was no leader, no, he was a mercenary. Just someone getting paid a large sum to end a fight that wasn't even his own. Night had fallen, and it was raining, which was something that could bring positives, and negatives. The rain was loud enough to cover his footsteps, the darkness did help some in very slightly concealing his body, but traversing this large city would prove difficult with the large numbers of enemies, despite the positives he had on his side. Finally reaching his objective, which Raifer's objective had gone to complete shit. Originally, he was planned to catch up with a small squad of marines, which was something that was easy at first, but became increasingly harder as the day went on, which that day was over now. It was night, and the worst things happened at night. With his back against a barrier, the Mercenary sighed under his helmet, looking down to those that could have been useful allies, they could have been good fri- no, that couldn't enter his mind, he couldn't think of them like that. They may have once been fighters, honest soldiers like he was, but they were dead now, they weren't going to be friends, or even useful now. While having decent cover, the Devil decided to check on his ammunition count, which so far seemed to be decent. His once pristine white armor, was now blackened by ash, rubble of buildings, smoke, and the aftermath of several explosions. When he peeked over cover, he was looking at a transit station, neon lights, and enough covenant hostiles that would make his job a whole lot harder.
