Rinnah had stayed the night. Again. Not really like he had anything else to do and he wasn't going to complain about company he liked having around, but he did get a call that was job related. It was a pressing matter that had been discussed at length by the chairman, executives, everyone detailing expenses. Running numbers as they always did. Thankfully he could remain in the clear of most of that.

"Guess security trip to Berlin soon. Hm, 'n all that's got me thinkin' what should I wear?" Raifer turned around, shifting around as he looked down at his boots and over his long coat that dipped down his calves. "Already thinkin' coat to conceal everythin', but every man needs to look professional. Need a piece to top it."

Raifer reached for a black western style hat with a wide brim that he placed atop his head and glanced at her, tipping the front just a bit "'Cause I was thinkin' this is like takin' a bit of America with me, but maybe not the best if I gotta do security for any political nonsense. So, I was thinkin'," with a turn around, he ducked his head before shifting to face her again. A gas mask over a balaclava, red lenses to hide his eyes. The finishing touch was a black helmet over his head.

"I don't know how the chancellor could see it. I hear she's a bit sensitive to the rioters goin' on back 'n forth between the wall. Probably shouldn't care so much," he said, his voice partially muffled by the mask, "I know corporate might if I shoot anythin' more than a less-than lethal load into some crowds there. Maybe I don't get selected for personal detail this time!"

It's definitely worse because vague ruling, busted flagging system, and people online lying or fabricating stories of bans. So truth is just myth, because a dumbass A.I. could just get fucked up flag something as whatever it wants. Even worse if an A.I. decides to be as drastic as that grid ban thing. Seriously, A.I. moderation should never be a thing, idc how many people have to pay/suffer working a job, that shit should be illegal. It should be viewed as even more illegal that they can falsely accuse and contact law enforcement over false info. A.I. should never have contact with any form of moderation or power to decide people's penalties or consequences. Even worse might be people that brush it off as "it'll get better over time." Or "what do you have to fear?" Ah, yes, who cares if people you never met got put through an anxious hell or worse?

I pray Discord get fried for their level of incompetence at a court level, genuinely. Consequences must start happening instead of just this game of fuck-up, revert, all is forgiven. Just quit being lazy and cheap, hire real people, not useless A.I.

//what constitutes as a good time for Raif is often horrible and varies. Not always, but usually it'll include potentially heavy substance usage. Because of his enhanced biology, he does often require higher doses of anything that'd knock a normal human on their ass, but he is still human in the end. He is commonly issued corporate made experimental combat stims in the field that could have additive results. And he does drink regularly as well as smoke.

Raifer smirked, thinking of blood spattered interiors of ruined, battle damaged buildings and complexes. Red against browns, grays and exposed rebar.

"Nah, it's sometimes the smaller stuff that gets ya. Like feelin' someone shake 'n tremble in your arm, big blade in their guts, a gasp in your hand as you keep 'em silent. Or successful ambushes. Shot an enemy patrol in the Amazon ages ago. I was just usin' a pistol, suppressed. Nailed a guy in the throat. I can remember that croakin' sound he made as he dropped as clear as day."

Raifer snickered, eyes wide and gleaming. He stared in the distance as he recalled the events as a point of pride. "Had me laugh like that then, too. Never gets old, but most don't make that funny noise at all. I do think it can be stimulatin'. I like the colors... and stayin' around after a fight, lookin' at the bodies, where they fall, pieces. It feels a bit masturbatory to admire your work after."

I imagine insane violence is pretty normalized in the corporate run America he lives in, think Cyberpunk 2077 in-game advertisements. Him living in that environment and noise so much, he'd likely see anything by today's standards as "corny" and not stimulating at all.
