‧₊˚✧ Notes on the JLPT N4 2024
I think I did okay. I got all my kanji right except for one, so all the kanji revision did come in handy. I struggled a little with the listening part, but I still have hope that i got some of it correct.
I wanted to write my N4 even though I saw and heard a lot of people's opinions of it being useless, because I like academic validation, and also to see if I could take on N3 studying on my own. I'm aiming to write my N3 next year and writing my N4 this year has given me an idea about how it's going to be.
As usual, consistency is key: I tried to do some amount of Japanese a day, whether it was reading manga or studying one or two kanji or even just doing a single lesson on Duolingo, but it kept the language in my mind. I'd read the lyrics to the j-pop songs I listen to because it made it easier for me to recognize those words in other places. Similarly with anime, I tried to focus on understanding the exchange rather than read the subtitle, and only go to the sub when I couldn't understand the context at all.
I will be making posts on the Kanji and grammar points I learnt and try my best to do N3 as well next year! This journey has been fun, and Japanese is really such a challenging and wonderful language.
Fingers crossed about passing this one!
