💡 a time my muse laughed.
It wasn’t as if laughing was forbidden in the Black Manor, but the children of the house were educated when there was a time and place where they can be “children”. Mainly when there weren’t any eyes, and as Narcissa grew older it was more and more unlady-like to be laughing in public. The occasional giggle (of course in a lady-like fashion) was allowed given the right circumstances, such as a coworker of her father that made a joke (even if it wasn’t funny).
As a manner of fact, this was those one said moment were Narcissa shouldn’t laugh, but she couldn’t help herself. A guest, whom she wasn’t even sure who it was, had apparently been jinked. His nose was turning into various types of noses, from a pigs to a ducks and then a flamingos. Narcissa found it too hilarious to contain herself, bursting into a fit of laughter from across the hall. Tears even began to well up from her giggles, and it was noticeable to a point that her mother shot her a dirty look.
Narcissa then excused herself, between her outbursts because every time she glanced in his direction she couldn’t help herself. As she hurried along trying to get away to contain herself another guest said, “The pig is actually very fitting for him, he should keep it.” That was it, Narcissa roared with laughter all the way to the washroom.
