“So...hungry...” Kokoro groaned, a hand held over her stomach as she trudged her way down the sidewalk. Usually, she wouldn’t have been as forgetful as to not bring a lunch with her, but today she completely forgot. She had been in such a hurry to get to the youth center this morning, it didn’t even cross her mind until lunch had come and she was without something to eat. Not wanting to bother anyone, she went the rest of the day hungry, which hadn’t been the smartest idea considering she didn’t leave the center until it was almost 9pm.
With a combination of hunger and aching feet, Kokoro searched around for a quick bite. When she spotted a fast food restaurant, she paused in contemplation. Normally she wouldn’t consider eating fast food as it gave her stomach aches sometimes, but she was willing to take anything at this point. It didn’t seem to be that busy either, which was a plus.
She walked in, her eyes shifting around almost nervously as she walked over to the counter. The pink hair girl at the register seemed familiar, but Kokoro couldn’t recall meeting her before now.
“Uh h-hello!” Kokoro greeted her with a warm, friendly smile. She glanced up at the menu for a moment and shifted on her tired feet. “Mmm...can I get an order of chicken nuggets and fries with a drink please?”
