so for @ayauesugi‘s birthday, I decided to do something a little different and compile some mini-aus when I couldn’t decide on just one to write a fic for.
- the Pacific Rim au where Aya and Kenshin were a legendary brother-sister drift duo, until the mission where everything went terribly wrong and Kenshin wound up dead. Aya swears she's never setting foot in a Jaeger again... but then discovers she’s drift compatible with hotshot pilot Ginchiyo Tachibana.
- the high school au where Aya is president of the science club and Ginchiyo is the captain of the basketball team (her head’s in the game but her heart’s in the song). The unspoken rule has always been that Never The Two Shall Meet until they both wind up on the planning committee for the school dance.
- the Phantom of the Opera au where Aya is the lead soprano of a prestigious opera company and No is the masked specter determined to claim her voice. Aya’s heart is torn between her dark angel and her childhood friend, the viscountess Ginchiyo Tachibana, and the Phantom’s maze is twisted every way.
- the Killing Eve au where No is an international assassin with a reputation for stylish and flamboyant kills, and Aya is the government agent assigned to track her down. But as both women begin to realize they have more in common than they once thought, who will become the hunter?
- the LotR au where Kanetsugu is Aragorn and Aya is Arwen that’s been on my mind literally ever since I first played PoCon (tbh I think the Evenstar lowkey made its way into FoH as Aya’s pendant). Bonus round with Ginchiyo as Eowyn and Muneshige as Faramir.
- the reincarnation au where Okuni is the sole survivor of an event that destroys Ransei. She winds up in the main game regions as the owner of a shop that travels to a different city every day, and comes to realize the warriors she knew in their past lives have been reborn as circumstances lead them through her door. But what happens when the next familiar face is the former warlord of Spectra?
- the ghost hunters au where both of them believe in the supernatural but Okuni’s knowledge and respect of it is completely drowned out by No having zero fear of any gods or devils (at least once an investigation, No outwardly tells the demon to go fuck itself while Okuni hyperventilates).
- the Harry Potter au where Ginchiyo and Kanetsugu are in Gryffindor, Aya and Okuni are in Ravenclaw, Muneshige is in Hufflepuff, No and Nobunaga are in Slytherin. No knows all the castle ghosts. Ginchiyo and Aya are rival Quidditch team captains.
- the monster hunting organization au where Ginchiyo and Muneshige are a human/seraphim duo who specialize in demons. Meanwhile, Aya and Kenshin are vampire hunters, but their bond is challenged for the first time when Aya begins to fall for their new target - a powerful vampire countess named No who might be her eternal soulmate.
- That modern AU where Okuni and Koshosho decide to start an all-female theater troupe and chaos ensues. Okuni lives in an apartment with Motochika (a DJ and part-time drag queen) and Koshosho. No’s apartment building is over a century old and definitely haunted. Aya and Kenshin live in a penthouse neither of them really need but it’s big enough to host cast parties with minimal damage.
