Wheel pose has never been a favourite of mine in the past. Add in an uneven and sloping surface and all I could picture is me falling on my head haha. I was so nervous, but it was just my mind set. Wheel pose will come up in class frequently and when they cue it, I always have an excuse in my head as to why I should just stay in bridge pose - it's too early in the morning, I'm not warmed up enough, I'm tired. Etc etc. But when I actually push up into it, I realize it's just my fears talking. Sure there are days that feel better than others, but for the most part, I'm just trying to find a way out of not doing this pose. So lately, I don't over think things and just do it.
