Ayer🤍🖤🩹
oyoyoyo? I see a GBF writing blog here! Even though the game has quite a large fanbase, there aren’t many writing blogs for it, I think? So it’s always awesome when I find one! Can I request HCs for Cain, Ayer and Feather with a Captain!reader that has insomnia, or just a lot of trouble to fall asleep? // PS. Good luck on the blog!
wahhhh thank you so so much anon!! I'm really blown away with how little writing blogs there are for gbf, so I'm vv happy to supply!~
Captain!Reader will always be gender neutral unless requested otherwise!
Cain/Captain + Insomnia
Not his first rodeo with dealing with insomnia - he has his spells of sleeplessness, along with dealing with Leona's on nights when her emotions get the best of her.
Seeing the Captain out and about at night was unusual though. In the empty halls of the Idelva palace, Cain watched from a distance as you hummed softly to a melody unknown to his ears; pacing the length of the corridor.
"Now... what are you doing up?" He murmurs into your ear, wrapping his arms around your torso. "Restless?"
"Cain?" Your voice is impossibly soft, as if you were afraid to speak, "What are you doing awake?"
"I was getting a drink. Then I heard the most wonderful song... (Name), you can talk to me."
You frown slightly, pursing your lips into a thin line: "Sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you-"
"Don't worry about that!" He shushes you with a quick peck to the lips. "Let me take you back to your room and we can figure out what's keepin' you up."
The two of you end up falling asleep in each other's arms after talking for a couple hours - the weight of the world didn't seem so heavy with Cain by your side.
Ayer/Captain + Insomnia
Someone walking down the hallway is what awoke Ayer in the dead of night on the Grandcypher. He scowled and rubbed his tired eyes, exhausted from the previous day's training. Sitting up in bed, Ayer made his way to his door when a quiet knock broke the silence.
Ayer made another face of displeasure but his expression changed to one of shock when he saw the captain standing before him.
"Um-?" Ayer began, confused and a little concerned as to why you were there in the dead of night. You just pushed past him and sat on his bed, rubbing your temples.
"I can't sleep." You pout slightly.
"Oh." Was all Ayer could say, closing the door behind him. "Is there... anything I can do?"
You think for a few moments before replying: "Can you tell me a story?"
Ayer nearly took a double take at the request, his ears going red. "What?"
"I like hearing your voice, Ayer." You said, giving him a a tired smile. "Please?"
"...Alright."
The rest of the night passed peacefully, with the tale of a brave captain and their partner traveling the skies upon Ayer's lips.
Feather/Captain + Insomnia
It wasn't your intention to wake anyone up when you snuck into the Grandcypher's kitchens one night - and you could've swore you were quiet unlocking the door - but you ended up running into Feather.
He wasn't the worst person to run into, but...
"Huh? (Name), what're you doin' here? It's so late!"
"Quiet, Feather!" You hush him. "I should be asking you the same question..."
"What? (Name), don't be like that..." Feather shoots you a smile: "I bet you're here to get the leftovers from Lowain's cooking, right?"
You sigh and sit down at a table. I never understand what's going through your head... Feather takes a seat next to you, patting your back.
"What's going on?" He asks. You explain that you can't sleep and had heard that warm milk or tea might help your ailments. Feather brightens up once more and immediately gets to making the necessary drinks.
Once you've finished your milk, Feather drags you out onto the deck of the Grandcypher.
"Fresh air might help! How're you feelin'?"
"Much better. Thank you, Feather!"
Apologies if anything is OOC! Thanks for reading!
6 Fanart Challenge that’s been goin around on Twitter/Insta. Requests taken from Instagram :’D
Ayyy, commissions!!! Thank you all!!
Ayer’s worst first date if possible!!
“hhhhhhh I don’t wanna do this danchou but Jessica suggested we hang out together….you know…bonding or something.” So you’re like okay fam if you wanna go out just say that, no need to be a dumpster tsundere about it. You two go see an underground fighting tournament and it’s super cool until Ayer suggests he could knock the competition out. You’re like ‘hahaha yeah you’re strong but like…these men are a thousand times bigger than you do you really think-’ woops now he’s already inside prepared to fight SEOX OF ALL PEOPLE (once again), and because he’s a little emo he gets his butt handed to him by an Eternal who’s done this for as twice as long as Ayer was alive. So Ayer, after suffering like twenty broken ribs and an ankle that SHOULD NOT BE BENDING IN THAT DIRECTION, he says, “he’s lucky I wasn’t at full power I wasnt looking and he got the upper hand”
He asks Jessica to give you a letter saying he’d like to go another date while he’s in the infirmary.
Hello!! I just got to your blog, and gods, I wish I had found it earlier. Your writing is really good! I just read all the posts lol. And it's unusual to find a blog about GBF, so would it be okay to ask for Ayer (if you know him) and the captain trying to get closer to him cuz he's always training alone (and captain has a crush on him too)
A/n: REEEEEEE PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE MY BLOG??? OMG THANK YOU DARLING!!!! Ps....I love Ayer, he can spit on me and I’d thank him.
Ayer with Reader trying to get closer to him
He is what many would describe as an…ahem, jerk. He’s cold, a loner, a smartmouth, and a bunch of other negative things you’d rather not say.
Or at least, that’s what he tries to have others believe. You see past his facade, knowing he’s just someone with a troubled past, one who wishes to protect his sister, Jessica, at all costs.
It warms your heart seeing him act soft towards her, and ever since you’ve recruited him, how he carefully watches over you in battle (not like he’d ever admit it, but it’s a sweet gesture nonetheless)
You are interested in him, and wish to get to know him more, wondering what he’s really like under that cold facade.
He’s not one to be buddy-buddy with others, and you know that bombarding him with questions and affection will get him to retreat.
So, being the clever genius you are, you decide to show him that you are someone he can trust.
You devise a plan to spar with him in melee combat, in the training grounds where he usually practices alone. Perfect, plenty of time to get to know him better.
Being the clever genius you were, absolutely nothing could go wrong.
Except, everything did go wrong. For some reason, the fact that he was skilled melee fighter seemed to slip your mind, and you had your butt thoroughly handed to you.
It was horrible. You fell to the ground and screamed in pain, feeling the bruises begin to form, and you could’ve sworn you had broken a bone or two.
“Shit, shit, shit! Crap, I didn’t mean to kick you that hard!” He yells, quickly carrying you to anyone who can heal you.
Hearing you scream and seeing you in pain causes many to worry for you. Some see Ayer apologize and either chastise him for his lack or self-restraint, or try to assure him it was not his fault. Others are quick to be by your side and help you with whatever.
After the initial panic wears off and Sophia has to coax everyone away to have you rest, he walks in.
“Oh, Ayer, I’m so sorry that I-”
“Why are you apologizing? I was the one who nearly killed you. Damn it, I’m so stupid!” You have never seen him this emotional, and you hear his voice crack as he places his head in his hands.
“Don’t feel bad, Ayer. This is nothing, I’m a tough cookie, see?” You hold up your arm, which needed to be wrapped in gauze, and he winces. “I should apologize, I was the one who told you to do your hardest. I should’ve seen it coming, to be honest.” You laugh and try your best to reassure him.
He doesn’t seem to believe you, and he goes back to his usual frown as he pulls up a chair to sit close to you. You can still sense the guilt and anger radiating off of him.
Over the next couple of days, he makes sure to check on you. But being Ayer, he doesn’t say that outright.
“Jessica said I should get you something to cheer you up. She picked these out.” He basically chucks a bag of cookies at you, mumbling about how he felt bad.
You two share plenty of conversation (more like, you talk and he occasionally comments), and you think this is some of the most time you’ve spent with one another. You really like his company while you’re injured.
Once you’re healed, you immediately go to the training grounds and demand he spars with you.
“Are you joking? Did you hit your head before you came here? I’m not fighting you, don’t ask again.”
“No, not in hand-to-hand combat, silly. With swords.”
“Why would I do that?”
“So we can be even.” You smile. “Besides, I need to practice since I haven’t trained for a while.”
He sighs and murmurs something as he grabs a training sword from the mantle. You do the same, and get into position.
He knows absolutely nothing about a sword. His swings are too harsh and unbalanced, causing him to nearly trip with every swing he manages to take. You however, tease him by jumping back and forth, causing him to swing rapidly as you dodge each one.
“Freaking…stop!” He pants, trying to get one swing in before you disarm him. The sudden force causes him to fall, and you point the flimsy sword at his chest.
“Prepare to die.” You say darkly, glaring at him menacingly. The look on his face was one of absolute horror and shock, causing you to laugh loudly.
“You! You lied? You piece of shit!” He glares, huffing at how frightened he appeared.
You throw the sword to the side and bend down to his level, ruffling his hair.
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding. You’re just too adorable, you know?” You muse, and press a kiss on his cheek. He blushes and tightly grabs your wrist.
“W-what the hell are you doing?” He stammers, the red coating his cheek brightly glowing.
“Ah! I just…I just like you a lot. It’s nice to know that you are there for me no matter what. It’s really sweet. Sorry for the kiss, I got out of line. I’ll leave you now, I think I’ve caused you enough trouble.” You begin to blush out of embarrassment, cursing yourself for doing something so forward as that. You begin to stand up before the grip on your wrist yanks you back down.
“What if I don’t want you to leave me?” He murmurs harshly. You can see how bad he’s struggling with his emotions, and you aren’t doing as good yourself.
“W-wait, you actually-”
“Did you really not get it after all that time? Why do you think I did all those things for you when you were injured? I like you, damn it!” He yells the last sentence loudly, and you can’t help but smile back.
“I like you too! Oh, we gotta tell Jessica now! I’m sure she’d be happy to know her younger brother’s not as much of a meanie as he makes himself out to be!” You throw yourself at him and wrap your arms around his neck.
“Don’t push it.” He states, yet you can hear the slight trace of amusement as he begrudgingly wraps his arms around your waist. Being with Ayer is sure going to be a wild ride.
