Elias doesn’t usually do this, bring someone who isn’t security or one of his official soldiers with him on a drop, but Ayla did a lot of leg work on this one, and he figures now is her chance to prove herself to him, and his chance to observe her. You can’t rise up the ranks if you’re standing on the sidelines, after all.  She’s riding with him in the corvette,  they have two cars with them with the rest of the team, but Elias sees a lot of himself in Ayla and he wants to see that firsthand a bit, he wants to keep an eye on her. He can’t help but feel that this is what Raphael put him through, but at the very least he knows if any of these people decided to leave, he wouldn’t threaten their lives.  It’s dark, stormy and gloomy when they pull up to the docks and he knows The Wilkes crew is unexpecting and it’s kind of amusing, if it weren’t so important. “I know you’re a bit of a lone wolf when it comes to your work but I’m going to need you to follow my orders, and stay behind me. The Wilkes are trigger happy.” @axbelen​
