Reveil; to some the capital of the world, to others just another big city amongst many. To citizens who had never been outside, its size was marvellous, but to Noé who was a traveller and knew how large the world in its entirety was, it was but a speck of dust. And yet large enough when within it to completely lose one’s sense of direction.
Searching for clues in this location was much alike searching for a needle in a hay stack, and honestly it was doubtful he was going to find any leads towards his goal. Alas, he was used to failure. What he hadn’t anticipated however was to be revealed for what he truly was. Although his ivory locks could liken his condition to albinism, the true cause of his red eyes was a whole other; one that a random passerby had yelled into attention, and soon a search had been issued -- men of the law were rushing the streets, making the vampire forced to rely on crowded plazas and darkened alleyways where eyes would fail to single him out. Jeez, what a mess this had become.
Honestly he should be used to it by now. The fear of his kin was understandable although misplaced. He for one was perfectly capable of controlling the lust for blood, and had no intention of causing any harm as the generan interpretation went. All he wanted was answers to his questions -- that, and to see what this world had to offer with his own two eyes. He had lived a secluded life far too long.
Just as he thought that he had found a secure place to hide whilst the commotion died down, a feminine clearing of the throat caught his attention, and coral hues shifted towards the figure of a young lady who couldn’t have passed her teens. Well then. He certainly seemed plenty suspicious hiding away like this, but feigning ignorance Noé gave a nod in greeting.
“ Good evening, Mademoiselle. I seem to have got myself a bit lost. You wouldn’t happen to know where I can find a restaurant, would you? ”
