Haunting sight of a sandstone Buddha head entwined within the roots of a Bodhi tree. The head had fallen off a larger Buddha image, and was gradually trapped in the constantly growing roots. When the Burmese invaded Ayutthaya in the 18th century, they had raided and destroyed many of the capital’s temples and lopped off Buddha heads.

If you are looking for a place to eat, you should go to the local market. There do not miss the tofu fritters. They are just WOW! (at Naresuan Rd).
