Jazmin Truesdale is taking comic books’ representation issues into her own hands with Aza Comics, a brand devoted to producing comics featuring female superheroes — many of them women of color. Truesdale draws inspiration from real powerful women. Genie, for example, was modeled off a beloved artist.
