These two! Honestly Luna has been a total hissy spitty beyotch since Morcilla had her surgery. At first I thought it was the smell of the vet's office on her, or that the cone was making her look scary to Luna. But nah. Even with the cone off and days after being at the vet's Luna keeps acting like a weirdo. Today I found Morcilla in Peter's room, perched on the chair opposite Luna, acting nonchalant, being non-threatening, and l could see she was trying to make friends, but Luna still flipped out. Meanwhile, Morcilla is being such a fucking trooper re: the dread cone. She's decided it's not going to stop her from frolicking, from climbing all over me when I'm in my chair, from being THE CUTEST CAT IN THE WORLD. Bless. Taking a Collar Break whilst keeping a watchful eye on my girl. Wanted to give the cone a good washing out and, just as importantly, give Morcilla a chance to groom. She’s been at it nonstop for almost an hour now. It’s so obvious how much she’s missed it, even though I’ve been wet combing her. Okay, I won't go so far as to say that Morcilla has embraced THE COLLAR but she is making a lot less fuss about it now. Meanwhile the GOOD NEWS is that I got her biopsy results yesterday and the cyst turned out to be benign and omg I am so relieved. She had a second antibiotic jab and we go back next Tuesday to have the stitches removed. Then another couple of days with the collar and my girl will be free! Until then we are still camping out in my room at night to keep her from getting into trouble. Thanks again for all your kind wishes. It's been an incredibly sad and stressful month, first losing Loki and then worrying I might lose Morcilla too. I'm so happy she's okay but it's going to take awhile for me to "unclench" and actually let all that happiness sink in. It’s #Caturday! 🐾 At my desk getting some work done with PA Morcilla making sure l don’t slack off. Back to the vet’s on Monday for another checkup and (hopefully) negative biopsy results. I know l shouldn’t take the cone off but Morcilla was refusing to eat or drink. So yesterday evening l removed it for a couple of hours and she immediately relaxed and wanted to cuddle on my shoulder. AND she ate twice and had a good drink before the cone went back on before bedtime. Then in the wee hours l woke up to hear her crunching down on her bikkies (we’re still camping out in my room overnight).
