charl4n replied to your post “Seems like Mugaro/El is Micheal and Jeanne's...”
I DO HAVE ONE HEADCANON. If Azazel indeed says horrible things to Mugaro, it will be half-hearted and Mugaro will know this so will just smile comfortingly at Azazel. Instead of Azazel saying, you know, purposefully horrible things he KNOWS will hurt Mugaro…….
Yes! I agree actually??? I mean, considering his situation, I don’t think Azazel would willingly let Mugaro tag along everywhere, so after he rescued him that first time, he probably tries to entrust Mugaro to someone else (Rita) for no other reason that bcs Mugaro would get in the way and become a nuisance.
at first he also means what he says like, “no, listen to me kid, you can’t follow me, it’s dangerous, you’re annoying, you’re going to be a hindrance to me--” and immediately flies off faraway, leaving Mugaro blinking behind. Except somehow Mugaro keeps appearing in places he goes to, and Mugaro’s expression slowly changing from hesitant to only a bit hesitant to rather blank to confident to totally confident in his own skin and role and Azazel just kinda gives up???
Well, not gives up exactly, but his lecturing starts getting half-hearted and everyone (Rita) notices and just throws her hands up in the air and refrains from smacking azazel and like, “don’t come crying to me if he gets hurt, it’s your responsibility. Also, you should fix your face maybe.”
bcs srsly Azazel himself doesn’t seem to notice but his face does get warmer and softer a tiny little bit whenever he looks at Mugaro, and considering he doesn’t actually look at Mugaro all that much even though they’re together all the time, him not noticing is not all that weird.
also, Azazel can actually be a bit thick sometimes. (Rita never tells him this.)
Mugaro’s default reaction to everything is to smile, so Azazel learns to differentiate the smiles; which one is an it’s really okay smile, it’s okay but not fine smile, it’s totally fine smile, a really happy smile, an it’s not okay but sure smile, and the rare confused and sad face smile. Azazel thinks he starts getting the hang of it, except he notices how whenever he’s with him Mugaro wears his really happy smile, and he can’t help but think maybe he has interpreted Mugaro’s smiles wrong after all and starts over except the same thing happen again and in the end he just gives up.
(truth: his interpretation’s not wrong.)
but there are times when no rly means no, like that end of ep4 thing. The only thing that differentiate it from the scene in end of ep3 is that in ep3, Azazel sounds rather resigned, while in ep4 he sounds...er insistent? In ep3 he totally thinks he’s gonna die, while in ep4, he’s found a new resolve somehow and it bleeds into his voice? something like that? Just, Mugaro picks up on it and responds accordingly, as in ep 4 he doesn’t follow Azazel to the demons’ hideout.
I think what Mugaro picks up from Azazel is ultimately not his words so much as his intention? I mean, Azazel totally has no poker face to speak of and his intonation totally betrays his moods.
so I think if Azazel just speaks normally for Mugaro to leave, Mugaro probably would stay away out of respect for his wishes. But if he speaks hurtfully out of nowhere, I think instead of staying away, Mugaro would just become alarmed? bcs out of character? and he would pretend to leave only to tag along secretly?
Jeanne taught him to stay away from soldiers and not to use his powers but for Azazel’s sake Mugaro appears in front of soldiers *and* uses his powers in a manner that can’t be said to be discreet (unlike that ep5 w/ nina, when the only one who notices is nina). I think during both times he saved Azazel, he also sorta means it as a warning and a threat (probably unconsciously); I’m with him, don’t hurt him, I warn you kind of thing.
:D
thanks for responding w/ your headcanon! <3
AAAAAAHHHH

Thank you, show... thank you...
(just look at all the black & white feathers aaaaaahhh)
From the way I’m not bawling my eyes out here, you might think I’m over this whole thing and what happened in episode 21.
I’m not.
I’m so not over this whole thing and what happened in episode 21. ;____; )
Good one, show, you did manage to surprise me. I’d honestly thought these two had a chance to be happy together in whatever shape or form. ;___; )
1. i do think like same anon who said that each main men (Charioce is actually second main chara after Nina which makes him the male main chara this season just look at the cast list on snb website) in snbvs have their own love interests. Virgin Soul is 2 cour seinen action anime so it doesnt need love triangle drama like shoujo series and the pairings are already decided. It's not safe to assume Charinina is fixed but! based all the evidence... Who knows?? ;) tbh i prefer azamuga bcs its
2. Sincerity than Azanina. U know, all those smiles he showed to Mugaro were really precious, he only thinks Nina as tools and Nina think of him as acquintance, Also because it’s Mappa, the studio who did Yuri on Ice, anime that very open about sexuality and gender in the first place (even michael dressed like woman right?) . Of course i’m not said azanina is impossible bcs anything can happen through 15 episodes! But as Charinina supporters, i hope the best ending for nina and charioce!
I’m so glad you appointed the seinen genre to snb, it’s refreshing to see it described as something more than a shoujo or a shonen!(We all agree snb is definitely not like those)
That said, I’m definitely on the azazmuga boat too, I want to see both of them safe and sound together. And not gonna add more stuff about charinina, because I seriously like your objective way of writing and I want to keep it at its plenitude.
I 100% agree with you.
