So about the "Have I Grown?" Episode...

I've been thinking about this part of the episode where the sides assign themselves as a family (14:01 - 14:24)

And then my brain decided to just... make a family tree with what I got from that episode.

Stay with me (or not), because this is another Sanders Sides yap!!!

Do know that this is something I thought of at the back of my head and wanted to explore the side of family trees... Not meaning to offend anyone.

The Sanders Sides Family Tree

So, how they assigned themselves, the list goes like this:

Patton (Morality) — Dad

Logan (Logic) — Mom

Roman (Creativity) — Son

Remus (Intrusive Thoughts) — Uncle

Janus (Deceit) — Aunt

Virgil (Anxiety) — Son

Plotting out the basic family tree, this is what I have:

Seems like a nice family tree.

BUT!!! Let's not forget that Roman and Remus are brothers. The family tree then changes to follow that canon and will look like this:

Thomas Sanders is just Thomas Sanders in the family tree to make him the main family member—like say, Thomas wanted to know his family tree. I also made Thomas Sanders "adopted" by Roman so that Virgil would be Thomas's cousin, filling in the role assigned to him despite the changes to follow the "Roman and Remus are brothers" canon.

Idk how else to expand on this idea (and these are the only formats I could think of), but the images I have here should be self-explanatory.

Logan and Remus Mood Boards

Sanders Sides hyperfixation strikes once again, and now I made Intrulogical mood boards; requested by @i-swear-it-was-nott-me

One thing that made me love the episode "Working THROUGH Intrusive Thoughts" is how they portrayed the clash between logic and intrusive thoughts; when you experience intrusive thoughts, your logical reasoning gets thrown out the window. The struggle to ground yourself gets more difficult as these dark thoughts persist.

Logan needs more love. His growth as a character hit hard because he learned to understand and adjust to Thomas' and the other sides' emotions while keeping his goals in check, and yet he still is not taken seriously / being ignored sometimes when he wanted to help too :[[ ARGHHH, IT HURTS—

I'll do Moceit next ❤︎ Since they're the last two sides without the angsty mood boards!

Patton and Janus Mood Boards

Last on the (slighter) angst train of Sanders Sides Mood Boards: Moceit! It became more... friendship-y instead.

"There's my new bestie, Patton, who has always been so good at keeping you in check. Uh, I'm sure you'd be totally lost without a man-child who ties a cat hoodie around his neck." —Janus, Have I Grown? - Five Years Later

Both of them are just... THAT KIND OF BEST FRIENDS TROPE! I just hope Janus won't bite Patton (and accidentally inject venom on him).

I think the only way for this friendship to go down is if Patton was betrayed by Janus. Janus does have the means to do so as the representation of Thomas' Deceit, especially when Patton sees the best of everyone including Janus—the trust and compassion from Patton's moral compass is present, most evidently seen from how they interacted around the end parts of "Putting Others First - Selfishness v. Selflessness Redux"

Now that's angst (please don't do this to me Janus, you're my 3rd favorite character.)

The creative process behind all the mood boards was just me searching pictures that fit them and their character arcs on pinterest.

Creative Process

My train of thought as to how I ended up with the pictures in Logan's moodboard is very messy. It was initially conceptualized to represent the angst from "Working THROUGH Intrusive Thoughts" while adding the elements of Logan's character as we know and see him (nerdy, quite usually not taken seriously by others, a bit of cybercore).

Mood Board Fun Fact

The flower I added is a Blue Clematis! In flower language, it symbolizes "intelligence, mental beauty, and ingenuity" (source), which fits perfectly for both Logan's representation as Logic and his color palette!

Creator's Notes

I had the most thought for Logan, because ARGHHH— The episode between him and Remus is just... HE DESERVES BETTER ✊😭 ESPECIALLY WITH HIS CHARACTER IMPROVEMENTS AAAAA—
