just a doodle of my oc Azaria. She's a siren and the lead singer of a band.

this makes more sense for dreea being the goddess of magic (and i might also make her a goddess of prophecies bc that would explain sayna a lot better and Someone's Gotta Do It) but i also like the idea of ALL the gods being able to see the future to some extent. the one im thinking of mainly is azaria, because she's a far younger deity compared to dreea. she was mortal once. she's very much NEW compared to the pantheon. do you think it plagues her, to know her favoured mortals will perish how they do? what i said the other day about dreea being above morality; dreea has favourites yes and she has outcomes that are preferred, but ultimately she reaches a point with the harasaeons where she WILL let them destroy themselves. that was the point of her prophecy. it was a chance for them to redeem what isha lost, but if the prophecy had been allowed to come to fruition, dreea wouldn't have intervened. she would have let nate kill them all. this is the privilege she gains from being invested in all of our players (harasaeons, wisers, monsters); she stops being invested in any of them. but azaria? she hasn't learned that indifference yet. she adores nebetta, enough to save her, enough to see the price of that salvation long before it is ever called for. does she resent the very power allowing her to make this call? does she wish it never fell to her? when nebetta screams at azaria out on the hills, would azaria weep with her? does she too grieve what had to be done? has this mother learned to bear her daughter's fury? how does dreea do it? how does she do it?

in her heart, azaria wanted to save both of them. she knew before the first page of the book that that could never happen.

Bills cut punter Matt Araiza after rookie is accused of gang rape in graphic civil lawsuit

The rookie punter will no longer be a member of the Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have decided to move on from Matt Araiza. The team informed the rookie punter Saturday that he is being released after a civil lawsuit was filed in California that accused him of rape.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane said that the team struggled to get answers about Araiza, per ESPN, and that this was "bigger than football."

"There are many things that we could not get our hands on," Beane said. "This was about letting Matt go handle his situation."

The Bills kept Araiza on the bench for Friday's preseason game and held him out of practice on Saturday before making the decision to let him go. After Buffalo's 21-0 loss to the Panthers, Bills coach Sean McDermott was asked if Araiza would still be around after final cuts on Tuesday and at the time, he refused to answer the question, which may have been the first sign that the Bills were thinking about moving on.
