Blizzard not the biggest fans of alliance chopper

According to red shirt guy:

Blizzard didn't like the Alliance chopper and kept pushing for more racially diverse design but the chopper guys said there wasn't enough time. He re-iterated that they really didn't like the design they went with 'it looked like a nerubian' and near the end tried to at least get them to add some saddlebags with racial stuff hanging out and a draenei gem but the chopper guys refused.

Alliance Chopper is Riding into Azeroth!

Most people who paid attention to the contest or bothered to watch any of the shows pretty much knew this already. They emphasized and used the words FREE chopper for the winning faction a lot.

It was kinda sad (albeit amusing!) to see soo many people throwing a fit about this issue, so hopefully spelling it out like this gives the QQ a final rest. Blizzard definitely took a ton of heat from this!

I'm a pretty big fan of the Horde Chopper myself, but I think the transfer of this awesome creation into pixels was also very well done. I'm stoked to see them both in action!

Due to popular demand (and a few shady back-alley deals in Stormwind’s Old Town), the Alliance bike built for Azeroth Choppers will be rumbling its way to a vendor in Azeroth sometime after the launch of Warlords of Draenor. This mount will cost a pretty hefty sum of gold, however, so you might want to start saving up now if you want to ride around in style on this masterful machine. As a reminder, once the winning Horde Chopper added to the game, it will be available for free to players who log in between now and September 30, 2014.
