First nights, first times, first mornings. It's just one of those things where Aventurine finds himself admiring the sleeping doctor beside him. He was literally perfection in so many ways that the Avgin sometimes wondered, why him? Why choose him to lay with of all people? Of course, that thought gets interrupted as soon as the sun peaks through the window, brightening up the space of the Avgin's apartment, while one of the adopted catcakes jumps onto their bed, quite possibly jostling the doctor awake as Aventurine scoops the creature up into his arms.
We should definitely give them names...
He thinks idly to himself, but he'll certainly wait for the other to wake up first before throwing him any new tasks.
his dreams are anything but pleasant. as a result of his nightmare, fingers dig into the sheets below him, a thin layer of sweat forms on his forehead, mouth slightly dry. on a normal occasion, veritas slept alone, rarely indulging himself in intimate visits like this. the thing that he needed was for aventurine to find himself concerned over another, when he should be focusing on ensuring his own wellbeing. just as the nightmare reaches its climax, multicolored hues are forced open, and the doctor lurches forward in bed. anxiety threatening to drown him, he looks for aventurine first. when he confirms that he's still there, he wordlessly moves to rest his head against his companion's shoulder. heart races, head pounds, he can hardly think straight. “ .. i apologize if i startled you. ” he glances at the small creature in his arms. “ .. both of you. ”
