I have a feeling you are going to be part of the US revolution and I will be part of the UK revolution. Sisters in arms, vive la revolution and all that :D
I'm always going to be a part of any movement/revolution/etc. that betters my people regardless if it's in the US, UK, Africa, wherever. No I haven't been able to be apart of this movement like I would love to be, I'm working on a chemical engineering degree and I just don't have the time and resources to help like I truly wish I could. But I am very much willing to do the very best I can to help. Like educating people on what's going on, educating myself, and spreading the words of protesters.
There is this singer/poet my dad use to play all the time named Gill Scott Heron and I had never really understood him until about 4 years ago when I was in high school. In one of his songs he said the revolution will not be televised. A close friend of mine was shot and killed the same week that 4 other teens as well as Aiyana Jones was shot by that cop. They tried so hard to sweep all the shootings under the rug, and for the most part they did, except for Aiyana's. And even then they damn near swept that under the rug for the last 4 years. Now with everything going on. The deaths of Mike Brow, Eric Gardner, John Crawford, Tamir Rice, it's really proved his song to be true. The Revolution will not be televised, but the thing is this generation will make sure it is known regardless of the media.
