Hello yes I am a great artist and this is the most accurate depiction of Azranahr to date.
There’s a certain anxiousness that comes with writing a letter that he can never quite fully explain to himself. More often than not, it’s his preferred method of communication, he can make sure his thoughts are expressed clearly with little chance of being misunderstood. But at the same time, he won’t be there to see the recipient’s face and gauge their reaction. And so he finds himself sat at his desk, balled up pieces of parchment surrounding him from his previous attempts, and reading over his letter for the sixth time to make sure he’s got it right.
“Dearest Lousoix,
I sincerely apologise that this should come to you in a letter, but I find myself in a situation where it is best I avoid the clinic for the time being. I hope, after reading the contents of this letter, that you’ll be able to understand.
I found Tristan last night. I probably should have taken the time to go look for him sooner, but I admit, after my last meeting with him, I was more than a little reluctant to do so. That said, I couldn’t bare to see you so lost without him at your side any longer, and so I put my own misgivings aside to look for him.
I am happy to inform you that he is well, for the most part. He appears to have gained some injuries during his time away, but those seem to have healed. As far as his health is goes, you need not concern yourself over him.
I won’t go into detail over the words we exchanged, many were not pleasant. But suffice it to say, I have learned the man that he is. A selfish, disrespectful coward who would put a quest for vengeance over returning to you to inform you of this himself. As such, I have decided that there is no place for him in mine nor Amaryllis’ life. I understand this puts you in an awful position, and as such, have no intention of making things more difficult for you.
If it makes things easier for you, I will avoid the clinic entirely. However, I would still like to help with the supply of binders and bandages and the like, if you would still have them.
I also would like to take the time to tell you that you, Alagh, Revemont and all of the staff shall ever be welcome within my home, should you ever wish to visit. And, of course, the twins once they arrive. Tristan stated that I am not welcome around his children though, so if you would rather keep them away, I would understand whole heartedly.
I hope this letter finds you well, and that I have not burdened you with more trouble.
Your friend,
Azranahr.”
He’s sure six proof readings should be enough. It really doesn’t need a seventh… Does it?
No. No, he has written as clearly as he thinks he possibly can, no sense dwelling on it to the point of never posting it. He folds the parchment in half and slides it into the waiting envelope.
That’s one immensely difficult taken care of, now he needs to somehow explain all of this to his daughter. Bracing himself for an onslaught of questions, he sets the letter aside and makes his way to Amaryllis’ room.

Oneshot, just like I said there would be! Enjoy some modern AU family stuff.
Ask thingy! 4. What’s personality trait you hate in one of your close friends.
Rika thinks long and hard, humming as she taps her chin. “Hm... I don’t have many close friends. I suppose if I were to pick one... it’d be a certain friend’s self-loathing.”
