Hamilton & Avatar?

Okay I answered Hamilton already so here’s Avatar. Both Atla and LoK cause I don’t consider them two different pieces of media, but a whole.

my beautiful cinnamon roll too good for this world fave: I mean, Korra. Definitely Korra. 

my trash-shit fave: Varrick, I’m sorry okay, I really really love him. But he’s an asshole. But I love him so much. But he sucks and he’s the worst. But he’s amazing and I love him.

my I love to hate them fave: I think Amon fits this best. I am very interested in Amon and the complexity he has, but also I wish canon had given more of him, but he’s also kinda evil.

my I hate to love them fave: I don’t have any, all the characters I love I’m not ashamed of loving them. Kinda. Varrick a little bit, but also #not ashamed, we all have problematic faves.

my I wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire non-fave: JET I FUCKING CANNOT WITH JET, HATE THAT GUY, I’M GETTING MAD JUST THINKING ABOUT HIM AND WHILE I’M ON IT MAKO AS WELL, FUCK MAKO I HATE EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM

my I didn’t care about them either way at first but the fandom makes such a big deal about them now I can’t stand them non-fave: I was slightly ambivalent to Mako at first, but it only took a couple of episodes for me to dislike him and fandom’s treatment of him to hate him fully.

my I could take them or leave them kinda non-fave: I’m so sorry but I just don’t really like Katara.

my I will go down with this ship and I won’t put my hands up and surrender, there will be no white flag above my door. I’m in love and always will be fave ship: Iroh and tea. 

my dirtybadwrong fave ship: Tbh I feel like Zhurrick isn’t that bad. I love them and the possibilities, I wish canon had treated them and especially Zhu Li better but it’s not completely bad either. There’s potential. 

my they’re cute together and I dig them but I’m not all that terribly invested kinda fave ship: I feel very guilty about this one but Korrasami? Like, I love Korra so much and I like Asami, have nothing against her at all, but maybe because I don’t strongly relate to Korra or Asami, the ship makes me very happy more for the milestone that it represents than for the actual shipping aspect of this. I love them but I don’t go out of my way to look for Korrasami content.

my I didn’t care about this ship either way at first but the fandom makes such a big deal about it now I can’t stand it non-fave ship: Tokka. I mean, neither Toph or Sokka are my faves so really…

Manticore au: who spots Alex's resting blep face and how much do they make fun of him?

John catches Alex napping at his desk, snoring softly, the pink tip of his tongue poking out between his lips. For reasons he will never be fully able to explain afterwards, he reaches out and ever so gently attempts to prod it back in.

Waking up to someone’s finger practically in your mouth, even if that finger belongs to one of the people you love most in the world, is a singularly startling experience.

Alex’s howl of rage can be heard all the way on the other side of camp. John counts himself lucky to still have ten functioning fingers.

As it turns out, even a terminally good sport like Lafayette has limits to how much ribbing he’ll put up with about the state of his spelling.

“Oh, yes, laugh all you like, Alexander, but at least I don’t do that tongue thing when I sleep.”

“I–what? What on earth are you talking about, Lafayette, what tongue thing—”

“Don’t play dumb with me! The thing, the thing where you put your tongue out and leave it there while you roll over on your back with all your feet sticking up…” Lafayette demonstrates. It’s not a flattering impression.

“I don’t…do that,” Alexander says, unconvincingly, but it is too late. The other aides are already paying attention. McHenry in particular is making a face like all his dreams have come true at once.

Alexander vows never to sleep again. Or, failing that, never to sleep again around backstabbing, treacherous, false friends.

Philip’s gone missing, and the door to Alexander’s study is cracked. Eliza sighs and pads down the hall, mentally preparing herself to assess and correct whatever damage has been done.

(Philip wants to be just like daddy, and that means Reading Important Books In Daddy’s Study! However, he is very young, and when a book fails to capture his attention he still tends to revert to chewing on it. They’ve lost a couple of volumes that way, and Alex has had to haul Philip out of his study by the scruff of his neck more than once.)

To her great surprise, though, she’s not greeted with mayhem and destruction and shredded paper when she pokes her head in. Alex is there, a great curl of ink-black fur and armor plates, asleep in the middle of the floor. Philip is perched on top of him, equally dead to the world, his stubby wings twitching every now and then in a dream.

Both of their tongues are sticking out.

Eliza closes the door as quietly as she can. Oh, Peggy and Angelica are just going to die when she tells them about this.

Ok but the real question: how did John still fall for Alexfish after Alex, upon taking a sip of alcohol, promptly sprayed it all out of his mouth like old faithful and screeched for a solid minute.

John actually missed this thrilling first in Alexfish’s life! Herc, however, was both a) there to witness it and b) the instigator so presumably at some point he takes John aside and gently warns him not to try and give Alex alcohol. Alex would probably categorically refuse it if offered, anyway, so the warning is more for John’s safety than anything.

pearl: if you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Iceland because I really want to see a geiser. And I think you can see the northern lights there as well.

A WHALE! I LOVE WHALES! Or like a panther or something. Maybe a cuddly bear. But yeah I love whales. I just want to be friends with a whale.

STORY TIME! A couple summers ago the hit of the season was this dutch...thing by a super popular dutch singer. I don’t like his music. I don’t like his voice. But THIS FREAKING SONG! IT WAS THE EPITOME OF EVERYTHING THAT I DO NOT LIKE. And it was everywhere! EVERYWHERE I COULDN’T ESCAPE IT HAUNTS ME TO THIS DAY. Don’t blame me if it’s starts haunting you too.
