My dnd campaign is taking like 80% of my mental capacity while trying to finish my portfolio and cover letter so i can get an internship, so to clear up some memory like a fuckin computer
ASK ME ABOUT MY DND CAMPAIGN!!!
If you enjoy
Political intrigue
Murder and mystery
Cosmic influences and eldritch beings
PCs being EXTREMELY morally gray and not wanting to be adventurers in the SLIGHTEST
Fucky fey times
Capitalism doin its Things
Way too many npcs
Send me an ask or reblog with a question(s)!!
EDIT: If this interests you, here's a summary of the entire campaign so far!!! We're like 30+ sessions in, so this DEFINITELY isn't everything, not to mention all the world building, lore, NPCs, and entire events I left out just to not make that novel length!!! So, if you wanna know about anything that isn't touched on in the summary, or expand on it, just send an ask!!
I keep thinking about the lady our dnd group calls "the skin stealer". She came about from an out of game joke about how one PC had their skin almost stolen after a bad date, and its warped and changed into a campaign villain I now internally relate 2 songs to. She's just quirky idk what to say
If you still want someone to talk dnd with, I am more that happy to listen to anything dnd
Hello!!!
I could talk about dnd all day if you let me XD
Because I didn't elaborate, I'll tell you the story of:
The Graveyard Shift
Arc 1: Murder Mansion
It starts with 9 people being invited to a dinner party by the noble, Valdis Doyle. Of the 12 people there, 3 are the most important (as they are the PCs)
Yikes
played by @dufflebagwitch
a changeling who works at the circus
lil reckless attention seeker
currently disguised as a small-time noble
Azule Vinara
played by @ingredients-for-brain-soup
a fortuneteller/medium that works in liltis, the town where the mansion is located
has been occasionally flirting with Valdis
secretly a fraud, a changeling, and a necromancer
Todd Thompson
played by @ingredients-for-brain-soup 's partner
slightly sleazy and dick-ish business-man
currently selling well-made brooms as a scam, saying they're flying brooms
actually started as an NPC before a player joined and used him as his character!
As the party gets under way, dinner served and a toast is had... leading to Valdis being poisoned and dying. The clocks all set to 11, the doors and windows can't be opened or broken, and a note is found on his body saying that the rest will die if they can't figure out who the killer is an escape.
This leads to Shenanigans, people are dying, suspicions are thrown, weird explainable shit occurs. Cullen, a man who was cheating on his wife to try to feel some freedom in a controlling marriage, cries over his wife's body saying that he'll never get to apologize to her. Fral, a gibbering mouther that had somehow gained some consciousness and form, is found dead having tired to not turn back into the monster they once were. Natharia, a depowered marilith working as a guard in the town with her dwarven husband, is replaced by some kind of mirror copy who attempts to have Azule replaced as well, but not before Yikes putting a stop to it and knocking the copy out for the real Natharia to claw out of the mirror, blooded and bruised as all damage also transferred to her. Each body would disappear if left alone, with no trace that a murder had even occurred.
Reflections are becoming dangerous, and as the group begins to realize that none of them could be the culprit, the house itself begins to shift. Doors no longer lead to where they once did, rooms seem to shift around, and hedge mazes threaten to swallow those who enter. They realize that whoever is doing this is using the house itself to kill people, seemingly having total control of the environment and toying with them. Even though it was their second day in the house, the outside remained night.
Finally, after solving a puzzle left on the notes on each of the bodies, they managed to get to the front door and see daylight for the first time, the door wouldn't open. There was still one more place they had to go: the basement. Walking down, they found a large, empty dirt room with the side walls covered with 2 large curtains, and a writing desk at the end with 2 blankets covering lumps on the floor. The body of Valdis sat writing, before stopping and turning to speak to the group.
He rose up into the air and revealed the reanimated bodies of those who've died, and the fight began. Putting the bodies to rest and continuing to attack Valdis, his skin slowly began to fall away, revealing a gaunt, sickly greenish-white woman with 6 white eyes and razor-like teeth. She congratulated the party, and told them they had 10 seconds to leave as she dropped the 2 large curtains, revealing 2 large mirrors with infinitely many recursive reflections. As she counted, hundreds of mirror copies of the party streamed out of the mirrors. While the group ran outside, the woman's bottom half changed into a 15 foot long centipede body, and she chased them cackling.
Thankfully, the 8 survivors made it outside, the 3 PCs alive and maybe not well. The mansion burned behind them while the guard who were waiting outside rushed to help the victims.
Arc 2: Terror Town
With the group having escaped, they are taken in by the Liltis guard for questioning to figure out what the fuck happened. Apparently, when Natharia's husband (who was supposed to be at the party but was going to be late because of work) approached the mansion, the door couldn't be opened, all the lights were off, and when he tried, the windows wouldn't break.
Yikes and Azule had become closer through the incident, and, in the mansion, had revealed himself to be a changeling. Azule implied that she was a changeling, but nothing solid. However, outside the mansion, Yikes dropped his form because in his day to day life, he was actually an open changeling.
They gave their story to the guard, who were surprised but with everyone giving almost the exact same story, they knew this wasn't just an odd house fire. However, they put everyone involved under town arrest through magical anklets that would keep them in the borders just in case they need to interview them again for vital information. Everyone, especially Yikes, HATED this, but there wasn't anything they could do... except Natharia who had been thoroughly traumatized and, using her station with the guard, was able to leave town immediately.
Yikes, Azule, and Todd decided to stick together after the fact to keep themselves safe and try to figure out what the thing they faced in the mansion was. Yikes also introduced the rest of the party to the Eclipse, the circus he works at. There are MANY NPCs at the Eclipse so I won't get into all of them here XD
Not much happened as it was mainly the PCs decompressing. However, they did have to deal with Azule's house being broken into and saving her two employees. They also went back to the mansion and discovered Valdis' journal and letters in the writing desk. It implied that he may have been possessed by the entity before the party even happened, as well as giving a clue in the form of a letter sent by Relvath Rosepike, the architect who apparently designed Valdis' mansion in the first place.
Also, they met an adventuring party whose members were all foils to the PCs (as all the PCs are basically NPC roles and I thought it would be funny to make an actual adventuring party to match them). This is a small thing, but they will be recurring.
The arc ended with the party joining the Eclipse (along with two of the NPCs from the mansion), and heading to the next town.
Arc 3: Wedding Woes
The party headed to the town of Tegizen for a brief pitstop as the circus had to restock. While there, Jago, a footman for the ruling noble, approached and asked if they could rent out Yikes' services as a changeling stripper for a bachelor party. There was a political wedding happening the next day between Eleri Furossi, the daughter of Tegizen's ruling noble, and Osmo “Ossy” Lasako, the son of another province's ruling noble.
However, during the bachelor party, Osmo wondered out drunk and ended up going missing. Jago came back and requested that Yikes disguise himself as Osmo until he is found, and that the rest of the party needs to look for him because the guards are too busy guarding the wedding to look.
Yikes was stressed the entire time, but after admitting what was going on immediately to Eleri, she helped him out and delayed the wedding temporarily. Azule and Todd discovered that he had been last seen at a tavern, and then rode out of town. Following the tracks, they discovered he had been kidnapped by a clan of goblins. They, SHOCKINGLY, negotiated that they would help with the hostage trade to make sure the goblins got the 10,000 gold they wanted. And it WORKED. The goblins got their 10,000 gold, the party got Osmo back, Yikes didn't get blamed for the entire situation as trying to replace Osmo, and everything seemed to be ok...
Until Osmo revealed that he had left because he had seen Aleksis, the person he was secretly dating for years, at the tavern he left from. (This whole marriage was literally just a political move btw. Eleri and Osmo were friendly to each other, but Osmo was taken, and Eleri was a lesbian). They had agreed to run away from the town about a week ago, but she never showed up, and Osmo got a letter from her explaining that she had left back for her town and that she didn't want to get him in trouble. The party agreed to get Aleksis back.
The issue was Aleksis couldn't remember anything. She had been at the tavern for a week with major memory loss, not remembering who or where she was, and this would reset every time she went back to her room upstairs.
Todd and Yikes tried to have Aleksis leave the tavern with them, but after exiting, she disappeared and reappeared at the top of the stairs. They went into her room and saw days of untouched food and glasses of water sitting there, as well as there being no bags suggesting she was still staying there. (Btw, custom lore: Ghosts, very rarely, can still remain corporeal as long as they didn't realize they were dead). Putting two and two together, they told her to not worry, and they will be back soon.
The next morning, the party uncovers where she was murdered, and got into a fight with local drug dealers that had hidden her body underneath the drugs they were growing in some abandoned ruins. Yikes went down but thankfully didn't die. They uncovered Aleksis' body, cast Gentle Repose to make sure a cleric could cast Raise Dead on her, and went to the tavern to put Aleksis' soul to rest so she could be revived. They again met the foil adventuring party, and the paladin of Kelemvor advised them how to help put a ghost to rest gently. It was emotional, but Aleksis was successfully put to the rest, and Eleri volunteered to take her body to Liltis where there was a cleric to revive her.
The party left to catch up with the circus who had left earlier that morning.
Arc 4: Architect Anarchy (Current)
After a 3 week timeskip, the party and circus arrived in the town of Pidehold, the home of Rosepike, the architect that built Valdis' house.
However, upon visiting Rosepike's home, they discover a member of the guard named Sorovar investigating it. Apparently, he's been missing for 3-4 weeks, his house is under lockdown, and there's the faint smell of rot leaking into the main hall. And because Rosepike really liked puzzles and was a bit a little freak, his house was locked down by arcane and physical puzzles that are almost impossible to solve without knowing what objects to touch/use. Also, the guard needs to get back half of the blueprint of the house, suspected to have been stolen by a member of The Shade (the largest thieves' guild in the kingdom), and the important document listing all of the puzzles in the mansion and their corresponding objects (but not the solutions as only Rosepike knew them apparently).
So, to prove themselves to the guard, the party killed some gnolls. Todd also needed a de-stresser after seeing that his father's wizarding shop had become a franchise, had expanded to Pidehold, and was being run by a horrible (affectionate) woman named Olympia.
The party also introduced themselves to the Shade and agreed to let them have all of the valuables in the house as they only needed whatever knowledge he had on what happened in Valdis' mansion.
They also discovered from a friend of Rosepike that before he disappeared, he had mentioned that he knew something that was bigger than him, and that it could get her in trouble if he told her. Which is concerning...
However, all of this was thrown off track when a member of the guard named Chase introduced themselves, saying they were helping with the Rosepike investigation. Chase isn't what they say they are, however, as they are the newest PC Husk in disguise!
Husk
played by @sleepyforestbeast
tricksy fey changeling (even moreso than yikes, and yes this is the third changeling)
likes to expose noble and mercantile corruption through humiliation and assassination
i literally don't know how we got this to work, we're all on EST, they're in Australia, it's a 10 hour time difference but it just PERFECTLY lined up, and im so glad it did!
Chase IMMEDIATELY threw a wrench into things by admitting to Yikes they were a changeling, running away, and then Yikes got arrested after casting Suggestion on a member of the guard. One interrogation, multiple lies, and a 250 fine for Yikes and 2 weeks with no pay for Chase, Yikes got out.
Chase eventually revealed to the rest of the party they were a changeling to get their trust, and then revealed that they were the one to have stolen the puzzle document. Together, they investigated Jonetvot, someone associated with Rosepike and rumored to be helping with various financial crimes and worker abuses. After stealing damning documentation and tricking him into admitting that he had ties to Valdis where he was the one that helped him get a guide to travel to the other continent for a trip he needed to take, the party went to go celebrate their successes at a bar.
This is where it goes off the rails again as Yikes recognizes someone talking to the foil party who kidnapped him and stole a bit of his skin before he escaped. Long story short, it was just her identical triplet, but she would be joining the foil party.
And that brings us to now! Husk had an emotional scene with Yikes, and Yikes pretended to be Chase to turn in the evidence against Jonetvot with some tomfoolery ensuing, but that's the condensed tale of the Graveyard Shift so far!!!!
Alsooo tell me about a time the party took you by surprise
(Im a playerrr if there be spoils tell me I'll eat my hat but I won't look)
Favorite NPC
So my favorite NPC is probably the hardest question to there are so many of them and I love them all, so ill just list a bunch of my favorites
So I created an NPC adventuring party to mirror everyone's characters. I dont remember exactly where the idea came from, but for a party of characters who are mostly NPCs (shady sellsman, mysterious fortuneteller, stripper clown) and morally gray, it would be funny to have an actually good traditional adventuring party to go up to each of their characters. They were just going to show up very occasionally, but my partner cried at me to have them in every arc just somewhere, you also agreed on that, so here we are XD
Sorcha Fiddlecloak is a happy go lucky trickster cleric gnome who is the head of that party. She hates when people don't like her, so she will go out of her way to have them do so. She's a direct foil to Todd, a PC who is a fiendish warlock, capitalist enjoyer, and gnome hater. She currently thinks they are friends, and will continue to annoy him for the foreseeable future.
Palen Nightvale is a werewolf blood hunter who's kinda the bitch (figuratively and literally I guess lmao) of the group. Pulled from an old character sheet of Yikes' when he was a COMPLETELY different character, she now serves as his foil by dealing with acceptance and perception issues. She ask Doesnt Like Him after Yikes messed with her a little after she misspoke on changelings. She has a whole tragic backstory and mission and stuff that the party hasn't learned yet, so I'll keep that for a separate reblog with all the spoilers lol
Roza Vova is the newest addition to that party after our newest member, @sleepyforestbeast , joined with their character, Husk! She literally only got talked to last session, but there's a WHOLE lot surrounding her after Yikes thought she was the person who tried to STEAL HIS SKIN. Thankfully, she isn't, but she's the identical triplet (there's another sister out there in the world lol) of her. The party has some suspicions of her, but that and her tragic backstory will again probably be a separate post to not give you direct spoilers XD
Anzor is the last member of the party, a human paladin of Kelemvor, and I think he narrowly beats Roza in being my favorite of the party (but I love all of them and wanted to talk about them lmao). He's the foil to Azule (the person asking the question's character actually!!), a mysterious fortuneteller and medium who's actually a fraud and also a changeling and also a necromancer. Anzor is probably the character talked to the least, or at least the one who's gotten the least info talked about him other than what you can just see. He has A LOT with him, NONE of which has been revealed in game, and he is probably the best foil imo to one of the characters, and I can't say why that is here, which again, probably going to get that in a separate reblog.
There's a lot more characters I seriously love, but I think my top two outside of the adventuring party are Gleam and Frizzle
Gleam is an elf wizard who is based on the character from the Witchlight campaign. She was given to me by my partner to have as a member of The Eclipse, the traveling circus Yikes is at. I, however, have never read Witchlight, and turned her into an exploited child star who grew up to be a mall goth. Her interactions with Yikes are immaculate, protective of him but ready to insult him at a moment's notice. I think I described it as "annoying kid next door who always annoyed you, but now he's grown up and hot now???" She also keeps having to deal with problems, the most reoccuring one is Kera, a runaway from a town that joined because she's also into the goth aesthetic, and Gleam hates kids. She's great, love her.
Frizzle is a fire genasi warlock, and an NPC from the original mini campaign that kicked off the game. She was a maid at the mansion that everything originally went down at, and for most of the game, kinda in shock and non-functional. She does not do well in extremely stressful situations, especially not in those where her closest friend at the time dies when you weren't in the room and then you get accused of his death. However, after leaving the mansion (which was set on fire) with all of her belongings gone and burned, she's hit the "ok what the fuck do I do with my life". I stumbled onto this character motivation/aspect with her, and I've really been enjoying putting that to different use. She's currently just working as a cook at the Eclipse because she has culinary experience, but she just doesn't know what she wants to do, and that's really interesting to me.
Party Took Me by Surprise
Honestly, half of the Husk has been doing has made me go "ok we're doing this now" in the best way possible XD. It's been a really great exercise in improv and doing things on the fly which I've been getting much better with!!!
Probably the biggest time I've been taken by surprise with the entire party is still just how impressed I was with how you guys did with the original mini-campaign. Many more people were intended to die, but you did a great job keeping everyone together, and only 4 people of the 12 in that house died.
Ohhh what's your politics and intrigue themes from one dm who loves them to another. I just dropped some fucking big intrigue shit tonight and I'm so down to hear about someone else's.
Personally I'm going hard on "corruption is lined with good intentions and it's the most vulnerable who get caught in the crossfire." as the city of Waterdeep has made a deal with the Xanathar guild as a better option, ignoring the way it's being leveraged against the unofficial wards and poor of the city. Also the government is being infiltrated by intelligent devourers from a mind flayer working with them so THEY'RE HAVING FUN WITH THAT. I love the mess. Complex scheming and shit is great please tell me about yours.
OOOOOO, first of all, I LOVE what you have, mind flayers and intelligence devourers are so fun and having them infiltrate the government is great. Glad to hear from another intrigue enjoyer!!!
Ok, to first bit of a TL;DR, almost every part of the game has some sort of corruption associated with it. Some of that is just flavor, but most of it is stuff I've pulled on in some way. Now, to get into it and show why a TL;DR is necessary, I'm going to start with the history of where the PCs are currently, the Kingdom of Menlin XD
So, the Kingdom of Menlin is the longest-running monarchy in the world and currently rules the entirety of one of the two major continents in the world. It goes back thousands of years, all the way back to when the first monarch, a mortal child of the god Torm, established a righteous kingdom. Now, because it does go back so far, there have been MANY scandals and dethrone attempts. Enough that some think that the current monarch, King Vittorio, isn't even related to the first king, although it doesn't really doesn't impact much.
However, although Menlin is the longest continuously existing kingdom, it doesn't mean it always ruled the entirety of the continent. While it's done so previously, this newest rule only traces back about 500 years ago, where older elves can remember living under a different kingdom before being taken over, either peacefully or with force. Safe to say that there are some people, including some of those in power that negotiated to stay that way when their kingdom was taken into Menlin, that don't want to stay under Menlin rule forever. Nothing has progressed so far, but with other things I'm gonna talk about, there may start being talks of rebellion.
Getting into the more present day, there's casual corruption and intrigue everywhere. Some of it is obvious and well known, some of it isn't. For example, in the northern part of Menlin, the most well known place for corruption is the port city of Tevaris, a cutthroat place where guards are known to be able to be paid off for just about anything, and as long as you don't get caught or at least have the money to get away with it, you will. This corruption kinda radiates outwards, so most people who don't want to deal with it don't go near it. However, it's kinda left alone and the nobles in charge of both the city itself and the province in which it's in profit from it (the kingdom's broken down into provinces that have ruling nobles assigned by the king that then assign other nobles to rule different cities on their behalf).
The party has actually dealt with some noble political schemes before, during the 3rd arc, Wedding Woes, where they found out an innocent woman had been secretly killed so a politically charged wedding would happen. It was confirmed at least that the footman of the city's ruling noble was in on it, but it's still not confirmed whether it was ordered by the noble (although it 100% was, there will be no justice for the order however, as the footman, along with the two guards that were loyal to him, will be blamed and executed as scapegoats).
Speaking of guards, the entire system of the guard is corrupt in some way, shape, or form. Some of it is greed, some of it is allegiances other than to the city/kingdom, some of it is sheer incompetence, and some of it that being a guard attracts bad people, and for many cities, the culture of the guard is incredibly toxic. Because the party has had to interact with the guard, they have seen every version of this play out.
However, not even adventurers are safe. The kingdom has commodified adventuring into "The Adventurer's Guild", a subsection of the military that pulls on the ancient tales of yore and the promise of fame and fortune. Essentially, it hires people that will go out and do the more dangerous things that the guard isn't equipt to handle or simply isn't their job to handle (like something out beyond the city limits). With a permit from the guild, parties have greater freedom in what they can do, can pick up contracts and jobs from the guild, and can even use spells that are illegal for a normal person to use. However, there are downsides. Your image can be exploited and catered specifically by the guild, and some of the money made with your contracts goes back into running the guild, which can be especially hard for new adventurers. It's an exploitative system, and the few who do get famous and rich and high level without dying get extremely close with the crown, meaning they can sometimes get away with things that they shouldn't. For example, some spells are simply banned, like Power Word: Kill, in order to make the general populace feel safe. However, if an adventuring party with a task from the crown used it to accomplish their mission, it's going to be swept under the rug.
There's one final background corrupting thing I'm going to hit on before I talk about the actual campaign, and that's capitalism, baby!!! There's a company called Smartshine that's existed for a while now that's exploding in size and taking up a large percentage of the magical item market. They're hiring a bunch of wizards to make magical goods, and sending out scouts to search for new talent and buy up components, recipes, and blueprints. They're getting connections to the crown, and will soon start being its main supplier of magical items as there were hard to come by before. With this being the first time in history any company has been this size, there definitely won't be anything that comes from it...
Just kidding, it's going to be a shitshow. Devils and other extraplanar entities all want a hand in the cookie jar, and from most of the executives being/will be corrupt, it's going to be bad for most people on the Material Plane.
Ok, now with all that background info and talks on corruption done bc its very fun to talk about worldbuilding, the main bulk of the first half of the campaign is going to be unwinding the layers of conspiracy, lies, hidden information, and corruption that surround the incident that started the entire campaign: some sort of entity was summoned that killed a dinner party group off one by one and caused them to be trapped in the mansion in some sort of pocket dimension controlled by the entity.
And this is where we get to the Doomsday cult. It's definitely not going to stay that, but I haven't come up with a name for them yet XD. Basically, about a 1000 years ago, it was discovered by a very small group of people that the world in which they are living isn't the first. The world and planes at large are on a cycle, with even the gods being different from cycle to cycle. However, there are some remnants that survive, like a book protected in a case of incredibly strong magic to survive even the collapsing of the planes into themselves that explained how to bring these gods back, promising godhood for those that do. So, there's a conspiracy known only to those who plan on being the ones to be gods to revive the old gods, kill the current gods, and become a new pantheon to rule this world. (Information is spread so that no one outside this tight circle knows the true goal and also to have it be really REALLY hard to trace information, aka, more arcs for me!!!) The dinner party entity was one of the first to be brought back, the goddess of discord and distrust. (Most of these gods are bad news lmao)
Going back to the plot, the party is trying to figure out what the entity was and how Valdis, the host of the dinner party, learned how to summon it, which they just realized he went to the other continent to get. The current lead they have is the architect that built the mansion, but because he's missing and his mansion is locked down, they have to get into the architect's mansion in order to see if he's alive or not (he's not). They're being helped by a member of the guard named Sorovar, who transferred from another city to here about two weeks ago and is in charge of the investigation. However, he actually was sent to make sure evidence that the architect had was destroyed, and items that those in charge of this entire plot needed got back to them. The architect was actually killed by a poison letter that was forged to look like it was from Valdis. The evidence that the architect had would include a letter from someone else saying there's some really suspicious stuff going on with Smartshine. This would eventually lead to the players finding out that one of the founders created it to facilitate the research and construction of the largest mass-death weapon ever seen to blow up the captial city of Menlin with the intent to bring back the old god of death.
There's multiple other plots going on, most of which iiiii need to still flesh out. There's one going on the other continent with vampires and the old goddess of winter, but that's not for a long while. But basically, the world is currently a powder keg, and the fuse has been lit.
Hopefully all of this made sense!!!! If not, just message me or ask to clarify things, I love talking about my stupid game XD
(btw im sorry this took so long, I was almost done with the explanation and then i lost it when a notification from the tumblr app deleted it so that was fun)
Have there been any moments from the campaign that have become inside jokes for the party?
So there's three currently, jokes that have come from in game or out of game that have then wormed its way back into the game XD
Yikes' Cat Curse
This started because @dufflebagwitch 's cats would occasionally jump onto the desk for attention, and I would joke that a cat would run by or a cat was looking for attention from the party, and this continued to happen. This continued with Yikes getting attention from cats during the second arc, and there was an offhand comment made by Azule asking "Is this a fey thing?". It was then decided it would actually be a curse Yikes had for his entire life that his mother actually had, and Yikes is constantly having like 5 cats at a time sleep with him at night, or whenever he's still, come up to get attention from him XD
2. Todd's Misogyny
Todd (the character, not the player playing Todd, need to make that distinction just in case lmao) has always a little bit misogynistic, but we kept turning up that dial more and more, and it's been so funny to have this stupid little over-the-top woman hater.
3. Todd's Nightshade Allergy
This is the newest one, but Azule, in game, always makes the party meals made from plants in the nightshade family (potatoes, tomatoes, etc). My partner and player @dufflebagwitch has a nightshade allergy, and it was just on Todd's player's brain, so he just said that Todd has a nightshade allergy. He's been continually fed nightshade, so the last session, we had it where he had a bad allergic reaction (nothing life threatening, just hives), and he now has an excuse not to eat Azule's cooking XD
The party's arrived in the city of Pidehold to investigate an architect the dude who trapped them all in the Murder Mansion to begin knew, and was actually the person to design the house. However, it turns out the architect's house is currently locked down with elaborate puzzles because he was a little freak like that.
So far, the party has
Made friends with the poor guard in charge of searching the house
Completely failed the Zone of Truth interview as they have just done SO MANY illegal things
Met a former leonin member of the circus who is a complete himbo but competent blacksmith
Found out Todd's father's shop has become a franchise and is in the city
Met the bitch, Olympia, was runs the shop who borderline told Todd she's the child his father wished he had
The party murders some knolls to make Todd feel better
Held at knifepoint by members of The Shade, the largest thieves' guild in the kingdom
Literally offer them 100% of the valuables in the architect's house if they can have part of the blueprint to actually investigate it
Found out that the architect might've been told about something he shouldn't have known about, and with him talking to a lot of different people including the man who literally did a ritual to sacrifice people to an extra-planar entity, that's probably not good
The investigation continues! They have the full blueprint of the house now, but still need the most important document of the list of puzzles in the house so they know what objects to even focus on in his collector's paradise of a house.
