Fear Scenarios || Ivy & Jaime

Ivy had no idea what she had been expecting when she first walked in to the simulation, but it certainly hadn't been this - a tropical forest that would put the garden of Eden to shame.  She breathed in deeply and felt like she could really smell everything.  The pollen and the sweet new blooms from the flowers, and the fresh new bark growing on the trees, thicker than Ivy could wrap her hands around.  Though they reached up to the sky in great numbers, sunlight still flooded the area and Ivy could see everything with crystal clarity.  She could feel all of the plants whispering sweet nothings in her ear, and weeks of unnecessary stress seemed to melt off her back.

But then an unnatural noise - grating, steely - cut through the serentiy.  Ivy felt her heart drop to her stomach.  She heard a leafy voice in the distance cry out in pain, and her eyes began to sting at both sounds.  She jumped to her feet, where before she had been kneeling down and fawning over everything.  "What's going on?!" she demanded, her voice cracking in her throat.  She had nearly forgotten that her partner was there...
