Dimitri got Avo+ to his personal skill post-TS & with high level in Authority, he became an Enemy Phase monster. I'd like to think these were due to his 5 years of wandering...

The fur and cape distorted his silhouette and made him look bigger than he already was.

The black armor, black eyepatch, black inner side of that cape helped him blend in with the shadows, obscuring his movements.

Yet, the outer side was bright blue, signalling to his enemies that they were up against an agent of the Kingdom.

Combined all that with his tendency to charge forwards using overwhelming, inhuman strength...

... No wonder they feared him as a demon :)))

The entirety of the city must have been built on a hill? Unlike the other generic Kingdom maps with tall stone mountains, this map only shows some low peaks in its Eastern corner.

Fhirdiad has several layers separated by walls and stairs, leading up to the Castle—the tallest feature in that area.

There's a water moat surrounding the inner city and the Castle.

The Castle ground seems to be as big as the inner city.

I love how the battle maps look in this game... They have chosen an artstyle that works perfectly with the somewhat low fidelity

Dedue's overly zealous dedication towards Dimitri was rightfully framed as unhealthy, but it's the way he channelled his grief and loss.

He saw his homeland his culture as dead, gone, pointless, to be revived in the future by Dimitri, and embraced the culture of his oppressor—Chivalry—instead.

He had a defeatist attitude from all the discrimination, and believed that no one should associate w him, that no one would care or be interested.

Dedue put all the stocks in his Savior instead, believing wholeheartedly that Dimitri would set things right.

But therein lies the problem...

Dedue moreso enabled the Prince's worst tendencies than stopping him.

I don't think theres any universe where Dedue could save Dimitri from himself. Ultimately, that "redemption" after Gronder didn't rely on Dedue... Dimitri had to choose to free himself.

Dedue's sacrifice can be read as a point made about the destructive nature of Faerghus' chivalry instead.

That's my subjective view anw...

Fire Emblem Three Houses Trivia: Per interviews, the game by mid-2018 was already in its "final stages of development", given its Japanese title had been decided during this period. In spite of this, its release date was later delayed from Spring 2019, to Summer 2019.
