the malachite spotting on these azurites, both polished and raw, reminded me of how corruption appears on the SU gems ↓ the second reason was that azurite is a very unstable material that turns into malachite if proper environmental factors are not met [as in, a large lack of CO2. it's also particularly sensitive to heat] ↓ Malachite is also extremely toxic to breathe in: leading to the formation of cancer cells, mutations, and fetus defections when pregnant :3
