Author B. Knox resides in Mooresville, North Carolina and her love for reading is what inspired her to pursue a writing career. She published her first book, “He Gives Me a Feeling Like No Other”, on April 27th, 2020. Besides writing, B. Knox works in healthcare as a Certified Medical Assistant and enjoys being a mother to her two young men, who are her whole heart in human form. When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying her free time with family, friends, and reading.

What made you want to become an author? I’m an avid reader before anything and my love for reading is what made me want to write.

How does it feel to be published? To see my books with my name on them on Amazon is surreal.
Are you self-published or did you go through a publishing company? Why? I started out self- published then signed to a publisher. I procrastinated a lot when I wasn’t signed and with a publisher, they give you that extra push to stay consistent and you have a team of pen sisters to work with when you’re struggling. Since I’ve been signed, I have met some great authors that I consider family instead of pen sisters.

What do you feel will inspire others to never forget when they read your story(ies)? That true black love does exist.
What's the hardest part about writing a book? Writing the 1st chapter is always challenging. You have to make sure that chapter captures the reader from that point on.
What's the easiest part about writing a book? The ending, lol! By this time, you have developed a bond with your fictional characters and invested in their outcome.
What do you enjoy most about being an author? When readers jump in my inbox to tell me how great the story was and how that can relate to some of the characters in my books.
What do you enjoy least about being an author? When I finish a story and have to come up with new storylines and new characters.
What is your favorite genre to read? Is it different than the one that you write in? I really don’t have a favorite genre; I just love to read no matter what genre it’s from.
