atlasfucker69: "Oops, right?" The tone of her voice was borderline sarcastic, an almost sad monotone hint in the way she'd strung her words. She was angry; not necessarily at him, but the way fate had treated her, and the inconvenience of it all. She didn't know how to deal with this, but she knew she was ready for the end. There was chaos, but she was ready.
atlasfucker69: Fontaine's usually apathetic eyes scanned her wound over and over again, not quite sure if it was real. He wanted to touch it, but he knew if he did so he'd risk infection as well. Never before had he shown any sort of worry, why would he now? Of all times? Witnessing her walk to the boy and pull up his sweater was bizarre, it almost was like she was a fiery ghost, and as she showed him the scar on Jack's arm it only then hit him how grave the situation was.
"This is /three/ weeks. I was bitten an hour ago and it is already worse. This is fuckin' real, Frank." The way she spoke had him in a trance of sort, he knew how sincere this all was and only because of the way she presented the evidence.
[1:12:16] atlasfucker69: "An' what do you s'pose I do about all of this, huh?" His blunt tone of voice didn't help the situation, only aggravating Tenenbaum's already fragile mood, and Jack's confused desperation turning this into a cocktail of emotions he never wanted to experience so vividly. "You get der kind to Ryan's." "I ain't doin' that, that was /your/ thing." "Yes, yes you are," she almost pushed her soul against his, him backing away in something like fear, obedience almost, unable to pull away from that aggressive stare. "--- you see, there's gotta be 'nough here for you to feel some sorta obligation to me so you get that kind to his."
atlasfucker69: " What about you?" His voice softened, as if a switch was turned, him so suddenly no longer being that angry man that had permanent domination over everyone in the room. In that very moment, he heard the military forces closing in outside, and the entire room noticed. "I'll hold 'em." She was so sincere, Jack couldn't do much but whine for her name. "Brigid--" "Go."
atlasfucker69: As he allowed a single hand to reach for her, she slapped it away, taking ahold of the gun she'd put in her holster before. "Just fuckin' go, /bitte/." Between half-closed lids she witnessed the forced approach the door, and without hesitation Fontaine grabbed Jack by the wrist--- running off behind the hall's doors, throwing her a last glance just before he closed them. It wasn't a goodbye she deserved, but.. there wasn't much he could change. Not anymore.
