Hello! I saw your post of Haruki Murakami's new book, The Strange Library, and I was wondering where in all of his books did he mention about the sheep man? I haven't read all of his books nor did I collect all of them yet, so I got confused haha
Murakami's first three novels-- Pinball 1973, A Wild Sheep Chase, and Dance Dance Dance-- all feature the character of Sheep Man. Pinball 1973 was only ever published by Kodansha International, so it's hard and often expensive to get your hands on it outside of Japan, but you can download the PDF here. It's not his greatest, but it's short and worth reading. It is not, however, absolutely essential to enjoyment or understanding of the latter two books.
Which of his books have you read so far?
