Of course. Keeping more of your income is attractive to anybody.
Why do you think so many players want to go to Florida and Vegas?
I’m pretty sure that Marchand said somewhere that it played a bit of a role in him choosing Florida. I don’t think anyone would be shocked to find out that Marner probably wants most of his $14 million after being taxed out the ass in Ontario. It’s also a part of the reason so many players start nonprofits when they play in places with taxes.
