salem was adopted at age three, by gabriel valenti and his partner (later husband) kieran moon.
she was raised in bristol, england - gabriel held a position in television broadcasting, while kieran's interests were always a little different. a theatre teacher by day, deeply ingrained within the british wrestling scene at night. salem's first exposure to the business at hand happened when she was only five years old, and it was something she was never able to forget.
despite not holding much interest in the actual wrestling going on, the pageantry behind it all - the outfits, the gear; colors made to tell stories and sell thoughts, that had been where salem'd found her eyes drawn. fashion had quickly become her passion as she grew older, capped off by her acceptance into the london college of fashion.
during her semesters at university, salem continued to stitch and sew gears for anyone who approached her from the wrestling scene in the uk, often times making extra time within her schedule to attend the show(s) in question to watch her work in person. it wasn't long before her name and work became word of mouth, someone known to put in the time and effort - someone who cared just as much as the person wearing the fabric. and suddenly after graduation, instead of picking up an offer from a globally known fashion executive . . . salem was accepting an offer from all elite wrestling instead.
exclusive rights to work for their stars, not only for gear, but to offer styling for their non - wrestling outfits as well. it'd been an offer she couldn't refuse, and one kieran had implored her to take.
that was two years ago, nearly going on three - a large move across the pond stateside and she's still occasionally struggling to find exactly how she fits into the equation, but it's fun. thrilling to be somewhere new each week and to have such varied tastes to play around with.
