Very active on SNS either. I mean if you look at succesfull artists they are heavily promoted online & touring often. Also they have tons of merch that's easy to obtain. I can't find any Get Scared merch in stores in Europe! :( Doesn't most money from CD's go to the label anyway?? Nowadays a band needs to put out more content than just good music to be popular. If you don't have a good label and aren't active on SNS your CD's wont sell a lot anyway. The new generation is into social media. p2

yeah, im not denying that. social media is the future and you need it at this point to help build your brand. get scared was born on social media back when it was new and there wasn’t a million different sites to promote on. but get scared’s problem is that they barley have a presents, to have an audience you have to reach out and stay connected. since joining twitter, the only time ive ever seen Nick tweet about something is when he’s whining or asking for something. which gets annoying after a while. why would i bother listening to a band when when the members do nothing but whine and complain all the time?

regarding merch, they do ship world wide, but according to an old friend of mine who lives in New Zealand, it costed her around 80 dollars in New Zealand currency for shipping which is insane for 25 dollar tee shirt.

honestly it’s simple to fix Get Scared’s problem. they need to put out their new album soon and start being active and touring again or it will kill them. or not, only time can really tell what’s gonna happen to them. -mod flower

I'm into a lot of bands that can exist thnx to fans buying them food, cigarettes, clothing or giving cash so it's not that shocking to me lol (but they don't ask for it on SNS) xD But I guess for western bands it's weird esp if they ask for it! Most people grow out of their "emo phase" anyway so what bands like Get Scared need is getting the new generations into their music & for that they need promotion on social media & tours. I feel like the label isn't doing much & the members aren't very p1

i mean if they were on tour i would get it to an extent, but he’s currently not touring and has a wife and friends to he could ask to buy/lend him shit. it’s probably a cultural thing, but over here it’s seen as wrong and tacky to be asking your fans for things. it also makes him look like a tool to an certain degree. but i completely see where you’re coming from -mod flower
