Holy shit, I was just watching that too and I had the same exact thought???

i don’t even want to spell out ideas at all i just want people to think about all the possibilities, grittying up the vehicles, grittying up the monsters, dirt and sand and wasteland and wasteland and wasteland, gasoline smoke, engine revving, THUNDERDOME - TWO MEN ENTIRE ONE MAN LEAVES, deformities, functioning with deformities, sick ass stunts, explosions, sandstorms and heat lightning, desolation, canyons, apocalyptic remnants of data stitched together like an erratic idolization

imagine if each of the sectors had some sort of subculture like this. desert sector resembling mad max apocalypse, the mountains stitching together an east asian fantasies and mythological weather, the forest delving deep into forbidden ruins, forgotten gods and remnants of conquest, the ice sector creating some impossible anomalies and natural but totalitarian palaces of worlds fallen into ice ages

i love and adore lyoko for its gorgeous simplicity

but every now and then
