How many spots on the internet have you snapped up to protect your name's place in the URL string?
I find myself doing this all of the time even though there is no way I could possibly fill every one of my claimed online places. It is a bit of an addiction I think, especially since I have a more unique name than others. I have several co-workers with very common names so their unique url's claimed on social networking and blog sites have to be more creative than mine.
I do the same thing for my kids. Let's face it Hipsher isn't the most common name in the world but there are plenty of us out there so I am constantly snagging unique URL's on sites I think may still be around years from now that could benefit my kids.
So the basic summary is that I operate a web design, development and marketing firm I co-founded with someone much smarter than me in Omaha, NE. B2 Interactive is not our first online venture but it does have a head start over all the rest because of the years of experience we have both gained in the last 15 years. Failures, crashes, wins and crushing defeats are the best ways to learn and trust me we have learned from the highest of highs and lowest of lows. I leave the programming, coding, 3 a.m. nights behind a monitor to him. My focus is on the online marketing aspects of our business. Stay tuned for more.
