I just realized that Black would probably be an extremely hard to beat Champion if he really wanted to. Or at least it’d be hard to keep him from being champion after he lost.

If he really wants to keep the title then after he became champion there’s at least a chance he’d take notes from the other gym leaders about promising new trainers’ teams each time the Pokémon league came around to prepare for when they came to fight him. And if he lost he could study the new champions team until he was confident he could take the title back.

A champion who studies all the Pokémon who come to challenge him is a pretty difficult opponent.

Black’s reentering school so he can win the Pokémon league again? I don’t think too much has changed in the last few years that he needs to be reeducated.

Oh, so there was a Black #1? I assumed he was Black #2 because Black #1 was the champion. But that doesn’t make too much sense. I mean from the perspective of the reader it makes sense, just not in-universe.

So that whole thing about firing Lack Two was all a test to see how he’d react?

Wow, Ghetsis...I don’t really know what to say. All his plans are ruined and tens of thousands of pokemon actively hate him and are ready to stop him should he ever attempt something again. And he just starts laughing.

Huh, I’m both surprised and not surprised about that.

Wow, so even though he came to the realization that a machine that directly controlled a Pokémon was better than bonding with your Pokémon, he still made sure to do both with his Genosect just in case the machine failed. He made sure he had a backup plan.

I wonder if he’s referring to Pryce? Did Pryce use morse code to control his ice clone?
