B5 week day 2- fears

Even in the summer, kunugigaoka follows. It’s not easy for the golden children either, is it?

Day 1: Paint Tales From Their Childhood

Asano Gakushuu:

It wouldn't surprise anyone to know that Gakushuu was an expert in the many forms of art; and painting certainly was on the list. What they might not know is that he's been doing it since his diaper days.

Good Guy Gakuhou fawned over every single masterpiece his little Da Vinci made, believing that each one meant something important about his child's development. Each one.

"He already understands the concept of complementary colors!" He squealed when he Gakushuu used red and green.

"He's figured out how to mix colors!" He exclaimed when Gakushuu accidentally added blue to the red blob he 'drew' on the canva.

"Oh, he's practicing Kanji already." He smiled at the random brush strokes his infant son would make. He legit believed every stroke was his boy trying to draw a kanji he'd seen before.

It's safe to say Gakuhou has an album dedicated solely to Gakushuu's artwork, which he still keeps to this day, partly to subtly brag about his kid, and partly to tease said kid.

Sakakibara Ren:

After doing a finger painting at school, little Ren went home with a new goal in life-- to become a painter. His parents got him all the canvas and materials he needed. Ren mostly painted nature scenes since humans and animals were too complicated for his five-year-old self, plus he's always loved nature.

A week later, he was back to his books. He didn't touch his art supplies again until mother's day when he decided to author a short story starring his mom; and since it was going to be about his mom finding a magical rose garden (her favorite flower), he decided to add illustrations!

So he did just that. He folded the papers and used the strappler pins to make a book. He ended up with two extra pages, so he used one to write a short poem and the other to paint him and his mom holding hands (he wanted them to be hugging but it was too hard for him to do). His mom has the book to this day.

Araki Teppei:

Once, little Teppei was reading an article on renaissance artists with his dad when he suddenly decided he, too, wanted to be a famous painter. He got out a normal A4 paper and started painting random stuff since he didn't have a clear vision in mind, so he ended up using a lot more paper than he intended.

Eventually, he settled on a family portrait. Sure, the stick figures had disproportionate body parts and the colors were a bit messy, but his dad loved it nonetheless. Not only did he proudly hang it on the refrigerator, but he had his own surprise for his little artist the very next day: A news article on the famous painter, Teppei, was hung next to the artwork.

Years later, Teppei still has the artwork and the news article.

Koyama Natsuhiko:

This boy grew up roleplaying as a heroic wizard in his own little world. One day, he decided he wanted to bring his magical world to life, and what better way of doing so than by drawing and painting background pictures and taping them to the walls? He was home alone that day, so little dude got to enjoy his fantasy as much as he pleased. The paintings, while simple, really made his adventure all the more immersive.

His folks weren't exactly happy with the mess that greeted them once they arrived home. Literally every wall was covered in at least a dozen paper! Still, they didn't scold him for it...because little Natsu was already asleep by then. Evil little gremlin

Suffice to say, cleaning was a pain, and it took them two weeks until they could no longer find anymore of these papers. (Seriously, just when they thought they've put them all in trash, they find one on the ground, under the sofa, or still tapped to the wall! How?!)

Seo Tomoya:

Unlike the rest, Seo seemed to use his art supplies for anything other than art.

Once, he decided to fake chicken pox to skip school after watching Tom and Jerry (in you case you don't recall, there's an episode where Jerry paints red dots on a sleeping Tom and convinces him he's sick) so he did just that and came 'crying' to his parents.

His parents didn't buy it, and a grumpy little Tomoya was sent packing to school.

When Halloween was right around the corner, Tomoya decided he wanted to be an alian and thought painting his skin green would be the perfect costume. Not only that, he also decided to "dye" his hair green as well.

Guess who spent his Halloween grounded? Yup, Marvin the Martian over here.

In a similar instance, Tomoya discovered something called something called food coloring and decided, "Cool! I can make a flame-colored cake with my paint!" Because if it's colorful, it's edible, right?

Fortunately for everyone, his mom arrived home just in time to stop him. He had such a field day helping her clean up the kitchen...

Welcome to the Big 5 Week 2023!

Taking place from 21st to 27th of August, it hopes to shine a light on a few not so favourable characters in AssClass.

Here are some guidelines for the character week:

You can use any medium for the days: from your typical fanart and fanfics to edits, moodboards and even headcanons that fit the theme of the day

You are not forced to do every day. Choose one or a few and just have fun with it!

Because this is a group week and used to highlight underrated characters, just doing Gakushuu for every day is not allowed. At least use one other character from the group if you plan on focusing on Gakushuu

As per usual, do not do anything that includes incest, pedophilia or stuff that goes along those lines. NSFW is to be kept to a minimum since the characters are underage.

Please do not use this week to spread hate about the characters. If you don't want to see anything about this, please block the tag 'b5week23'

Bloom

Written for B5Week23 Day 1: Roses

Ren placed his hand gently on the girl's shoulder as he looked into her nervous eyes, smiling as he did so. "Here, for you." He said as he handed the girl a single, beautiful rose.

Ah yes, a rose, one of nature's most beautiful creations, beautiful in both appearance and in what it represents, it symbolizes the one thing everyone wants, what everyone craves, the thing that makes your heart explode with pure delight, it symbolizes love.

When something carries such a beautiful meaning behind it, how can anyone not adore it? To him, roses were the most beautiful flower in the world, no other flower could compare to its beauty.

Flower

He himself had often compared himself to such, often thought out his life had Ren felt like a weak flower that had been completely trampled by life itself, beautiful to look at still, but not something anyone would care to look at more than once.

But when he met him, after he had seen first hand seen just how beautifully Gakushuu could shine so brightly even in the most dire of situations, Ren felt like he had blossomed all over again, gone where the petals that had been thorn throughout his life as they had been replaced by elegant petals that no one could get their eyes of.

Gakushuu was like the majestically burning sun showering him in rays of sunlight that drove away the shadows that had prevented Ren from blooming into the beautiful strong flower that he truly wanted to be, Gakushuu showed him how to stand prouder, he showed him how to shine brighter, and he showed him true confidence, not the confidence that Ren had been feigning throughout most if his life.

Just by meeting him, Gakushuu had turned Ren from a flower that had nothing that made anyone want to look at him aside from his dashing appearance and academic prowess, to a brightly blooming flower that entranced everyone that laid their eyes on him.

Everywhere he went, no matter who they were, there wasn't a single person that could keep their eyes of off him, especially the ladies, and this time not just because of his looks or social status like they used to, no, now people couldn't help but be entranced by him because of the boundless amount of confidence he now carries himself with on a daily basis.

Every time he walked into a public area he felt like a beautiful rose that always stood at the center of attention within the garden of life, always surrounded by mediocre flowers that were either entranced by him, or despised him for deep down they know they'll never be as great as him.

But despite all of that, Ren never stopped feeling proud that he was allowed to shine next to the great sun that is Gakushuu, whose light had helped Ren blossom into the beautiful rose he had always wanted to be.

"T,thank you Sakakibara-kun!" The blushing girl managed to stutter out as she clutched the rose tightly within her trembling hands as she looked down at his chest, too nervous to look directly at his face but not wanting to take her eyes off him just yet.

Ren just smiled his signature smile before letting the girl get back to her math homework, the rest of their class might not shine as beautifully as them, but he and the rest of the Virtuosos will personally make sure that they'll get to shine very soon, even if just long enough to make the light of those below them extinguish. 

To rip out the petals of the lowly flowers beneath them.

Day 4: Favorite Beach Activity

Gakushuu:

Sand Castles

I'm not joking. This guy loves building sand castles and is not ashamed about it. And no, we're not talking about your typical kiddy sand castles; think giant palaces, fortresses, bridges– Gakushuu is an experienced sand castle architect.

And when Gakuhou's there, it becomes a contest to see who can build the largest and most detailed castle, all while dropping some historical trivia like the know-it-alls they are. Typical Asano father-son bonding.

Mrs. Asano has long since given up on trying to get them to stop; so instead, she focuses on the more important matters– like her tan.

Ren:

You mean aside from flirting with girls? He likes to collect seashells and listen to the ocean's voice. Nothing like a calming ASMR on a bright sunny day.

Ren also likes collecting oysters. You could say he's an expert in this field given how long he's been doing it. His mom uses the pearls he collected for decorating the house. Ren never gives them to any of the girls he's dated since these relationships are so short-lived.

Seo:

Volleyball, baby! Nothing like a good, sometimes hilarious game between friends. Not once have the B5 played volleyball without someone getting a hit in the face.

Once, it was him and Koyama vs. Ren and Gakushuu while Araki acted as the referee and announcer. Annoyed, Seo hit the ball so hard it slammed right into Gakushuu's face. Yeah, it was an accident, but did Gakushuu care? Hell no! And that's how a simple Volleyball game turned into a deadly hit-the-jerk-in-the-face competition between Seo and Gakushuu, all while Koyama gleefully watched, Ren sighed for the 17th time or so, and Araki continued his announcing duty.

So, yeah, it was wild, but they all had fun, especially Seo and Gakushuu; not that they'll admit it.

Araki:

Fishing, he also likes taking pictures of his catch and posting it on social media. He gets along well with the other fishermen that they forget he's a junior high student. Araki even catches fish while he swims, marveling at it before dropping it back in the sea. Araki also likes curling his toes in the wet sand, he finds it relaxing.

Koyama:

He recently took up windsurfing following Gakushuu's suggestion and absolutely loves it so much he can't help but joyfully laugh every time he surfs the waves! Too bad his laugh freaks everyone out because of how loud and manic-like it is. You bettee it gave them nightmares.
