Nova Eval, Special Skill 

he knew what skill he would show right away and if he was feeling a bit more ambitious, he would've chosen something to stitch quickly. ( it almost seemed to shock people that he could. )

but beat boxing wouldn't require much, just the sound of his voice and that was all he needed. the day rolled around and bambam prepared himself. soon enough, he was standing in front of the other trainee's and the coach's. there was a formal introduction, even though he supposed they knew his name by now. "i'll be beatboxing." he hadn't shown off his skill so far, he was pretty sure at least. the last time he had done it in a formal setting had been when he did the auditions.

and then bambam got to it.

during his practice, he felt a little rusty but by the time he had to show it, he was comfortable again. he chose not to focus on anyone's face, keeping his eyes closed most of the time. he could pass it off as focusing and no one would pay him any mind. he wanted to his best and at the same time, he wanted to hurry and sit down. so he chose something short and simple for his beat boxing. enough to show his off his skill, that could be used to impress people on tv.

though, the piece he chose was complicated enough. he was proud of himself for getting it down before it was time to show it off. as soon as he finished, he bowed and went to take his seat.

NOVA EVAL; MAY; RED

he knew it would feel a little odd when it came time to perform at the end of the month.

the cat was out of the bag now and he could show his face a little more. but this was now his first evaluation after being eliminated. a part of him wasn’t really up for it. bambam was unsure of what kept him pushing but he never wanted to be at more than right now.

and it was extremely hard for him to run to his parents, now that they were so close.

at least his chosen song gave him some thing different to focus on. there was a song he wanted to perform but when went to check out the full performance, it didn’t have as much dancing as he wanted. so he set out to change it.

put everything into it, managed to find something focus on.

and then a week and a half before, he dropped it.

and bambam didn’t have a good reason why, but he rolled with it. in fact, it was one of his favorite artist. one he had just covered the month before but it was fine. at least he’d be comfortable and that wasn’t something he had felt since he left.

the day rolled around soon enough and bambam forced himself to calm his nerves.

he could do this.

soon enough, he was ready. with the music and everything set up.

now it was time.

the song started and bambam tried to carry himself with confidence.

he knew how to get into his performance mode even with all of the thoughts in his head. right now he had to focus on doing his best and taking everything day to day. until he could properly figure things out.

at least the song was on brand for him, everyone knew he loved girl groups and this wasn’t his first time covering a girl soloist. just browsing through and he found a few that had good dances but this one had both for him at least.

that was the best point at least. he was able to have fun while performing it, there was a smile on his face. like his chance to debut wasn’t ripped away from him. and he wondered if they even cared. even a little.

and when it was over, he bowed like normal and saw himself out of the room. another month gone by.

Samsung Showcase / Nova Perf w/ @hyunark

he was sure he hadn’t been this excited in a while. at least for something nova related, but when bambam heard the news. the show would be something new and fun and he’d be on stage in front everyone. he been performing at the same time as his cousins. there really wasn’t anything to wish for. and because of that, everyone only saw a smiling bambam in the halls of nova. this didn’t mean he was any closer to debuting, but it was something. it was just a breath of fresh air. something that he could fully look forward too. and they were able to go to jeju.

and on top of that, he had the chance to open the show with hyuna. he liked the concept for the nova trainee’s. and he liked his chosen dance as well. sure, it would have been cool to do something more hip-hop but he could at least have fun. as long as he could make the audience enjoy it. and of course, he had to be extra energetic for hyuna. he wanted to make sure she felt comfortable with him and the dance.

and jeju had been a blast. aside from getting lost and saved by kaeun. all in all, it had been a fun experience. and now it was time to show it on stage. there had only been a second for bambam to give hyuna some encouraging words before they took the stage. he let out a small ‘fighting’ right before they walked out onto stage.

and when he was on stage, he his best to give it his best. if he wasn’t the 'perfect’ swing dancer, he felt like he showed at least a good amount of personality. they would open the show, it was only right he did his best. and it was felt like it was over in a second. just as quickly as they had to run on stage, they were off and the next group was going.

that felt like minutes as well, until he was back out on stage to give his final bow.
