"hello my name is darren criss and i'm a proud native of san fransico but i currently work in los angels as an actor and musican. um i've been doing the music thing my whole life; i guess as soon as i could figure out how to sing. i do it 'cause i love to and i love to uh- be involved with music and performing music and i uh- have a small production company out here that i started with my friends from the university of michigan and so we write and perform musical pieces and uh- put 'em on youtube so uh- that's something i really like to do. um- i would love to be apart of glee because it's such a celebration of the underdog and um- it really empowers all us real singing-dancing-acting dreamers and the show has given a really special place for all of us in main-stream culture and a place to feel excited and accepted about the things that sort of make us who we are um- although we’re crazy. it goes without saying, it would be such a joy and a treat to be apart of that."
