That is all.
A comprehensive list of KLK WIPs I currently have, for the sake of my own sanity and in case anyone’s curious about my bullshit.
I’ll Crawl Home to Her, a Satsuryu werewolf AU — In a small, yet swiftly growing college town located in the Cascades of Oregon, ex-Marine Satsuki lives with her werewolf researcher/hunter mother. There she must abide by her rules and whims alike, while struggling to come to grips with her most recent punishment.
Would That I, a Satsumako mermaid AU — This is a redo of >>The Flag Incident<<, which I tried writing a few years ago. Hopefully this iteration will fare much better than the last.
When Eden Was, a Satsunon The Village AU — If you’ve talked to me for any length of time between 2014 and now, you know of this particular project and my love for the horrendously flawed movie, The Village (2004). This is my attempt to fix it while shoving KLK characters in there for good measure.
I’ve Looked, and I Can’t Say That It Was, a post-canon fic inspired by the movie It’s a Wonderful Life — Featuring Senketsu as the “angel” that intervenes.
A Weaving of the Spirit, a Harry Potter crossover — A crossover in that the bulk of the story takes place in 2006-2019, so the HP characters are about where you’d expect them to be at that period of time. Really more of a weird in between of AU and crossover maybe? KLK character focused, and pretty self-indulgent in some decisions (such as ignoring certain bits of lore about Patronuses, for example).
The Father Alive, a post-canon fic — Super self-indulgent fic in that Senketsu lives, Soichiro is discovered to be alive somehow, and Satsuki actually feels the effects of all the things that have happened to her in a short amount of time.
A Blueness, A Youness, A Dankness, A Thankness, a post-canon polyamorous series — This is what happens when you’re a multi-shipper. A collection of stories centering around specific duos within the main polycule (Ryuko, Mako, Satsuki, Nonon, and Senketsu), with some other pairings and some friendships. I currently have 25 fics planned for this, one of which is >>already posted<<, and two of which are finished and being edited. This is where the bulk of my WIPs are ;A;
I just realized that I have 27 WIPs I’m dying
NO 28 SATSUMAKO MERMAID AND PIRATE AU
Me: *minding my own business*
Me: *remembering I will own this one day*
Me: (★ ̄∀ ̄★)
Inexplicably, the actual tumblr app makes me anxious as hell
I was gonna finish a third fic yesterday but then Critical Role had to drop their kickstarter and present me with a hypnotic counter and stretch goal attainment to be distracted by all day, SO THAT ABSOLUTELY DIDN’T HAPPEN oops
I think Kiryuin Satsuki may have been named after a naval destroyer, which is infinitely more Kill la Kill’s style than having one of the main characters just simply named with an archaic form of May in a cast full of characters with Meaningful and Deliberate Names
I can die satisfied with that at least, because I can also continue believing that she isn’t a Taurus
pictureswithboxes replied to your post “it seems to be pervasive fanon that bakuzan was given to satsuki by...”
Completely agree, my dude. Ragyo wouldn't let that sword near her kid if soichiro was the one to give it to her. She's too controlling and shed catch on to satsukis plan much faster. (Also who the fuck gives a 5 year old a sword)
(I only just saw this now sorry dude!)
Yes exactly. Not to mention that after Soichiro’s betrayal, Ragyo would very likely be hypervigilant and paranoid to even the littlest possibility that others close to her are also traitors and given Ragyo’s hatred of humans...
(Well, Soichiro did leave his eldest in the grips of a monster while also leaving her grief-stricken for him and her sister and with the weight of the world on her shoulders, so giving her a sword is just icing on the irresponsible parent cake)
