Part 1 of the work from my raku class. A saggar fired pot and a little horse hair bottle with cave painting style ponies painted in underglaze.
Part 3 of the work from my raku class. A wormy demon inspired by Miyazaki's Princess Mononoke. He is underglazed with clear crackle and a copper wash for iridescence. I've been working on this one for a long while and am pretty happy with the results!
Yet another cave painting pony inspired piece from raku round 2. I am SO HAPPY with this one!
Part 2 of the work from my raku class. A little crow with underglaze, clear crackle, and copper wash. A quail with underglaze, clear crackle, copper red, and Ron's turquoise. I still need to make the quail a little head doodle.
A candle holder with an alkaline glaze from round 2 of my last raku class. The glaze came out very cool with an alien planet vibe.
A fanciful handbuilt creature from round 2 of raku! I started making them with no solid plan and really like where the creative spirits moved me. I'm also very happy with the range of colors that came out in the firing! 🌈✨️
Yesterday @babcakes4n hosted an adorably spooky OTGW viewing party! We followed a candy trail up to their door and enjoyed SO MUCH FOOD including surprise potatoes and molasses!! It was so great to see people I hadn't seen in months and get some major chilling in aaa aa a
