You know, sometimes I like to put up a stoic face. Pretend like I'm not totally gushing over the music I post. Y'know, play it cool. (I totally don't.) Well, today I'm not even going to pretend. I love this song. Like, seriously. The first time I heard this, I listened to it half a dozen times that night, and spent most of the next day writhing because I couldn't listen to it at work!

So, this is "by your side", composed by BabelP and covered by the utaite Tsukinowa. I usually like to have a full dossier of information to barrage you with when I share a song, but I'm totally in the dark on this one. Purely out of coincidence, I've ended up favoriting a lot of BabelP songs recently, leading me to become interested in him/her/them and seek to learn more about him/her/them. As you might expect from how I'm speaking, I can't find a stinkin' thing! I'm sure there's some info out there, but at the moment, it is totally escaping me. Strange, for a composer that seems to be very talented and fairly prolific.

Another foreign element to me is this wonderfully talented utaite. This is the first cover of Tsukinowa's I've ever heard, and I am immediately impressed. She has a rare and under appreciated talent of being able to hit very high notes and have her voice remain crystal clear, even while throwing in some serious vibrato. I wish I could sing even half as well as she does!

Something about by your side just tickles me in the right way. If you'll excuse my bland expression, I'd say it's music to my ears! Hehe.
